SOT PDEU Admission 2025: Eligibility & Selection
PDEU offers BTech, MTech, BSc, MSc and PhD programmes in various specialisations. Admission to these programmes is based on national-level entrance exam scores. SOT PDEU admissions begin with registration. Candidates need to apply for the course of their choice. SOT PDEU accepts national-level entrance exams or conducts written test for admission to courses. Find below the step-wise :
STEP 1: SOT PDEU Application Process 2025SOT PDEU admission process
Candidates who are applying for All India Quota seats for BTech and MTech need to register on the official website of the university. For Government seats, aspirants must apply on the official website of The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) Gujarat. For all other courses, aspirants need to apply on the official website of SOT PDEU. Aspirants need to pay an application fee to register for a course.
STEP 2: Selection
SOT PDEU selects candidates for most of the programmes based on entrance exam scores. The school accepts JEE Main for BTech and GATE for MTech programmes. Non-GATE-qualified candidates are selected based on personal interview rounds. SOT conducts written tests for MSc and PhD programmes. For BSc, selection is based on merit in the last qualifying exam and performance of the candidates in the personal interview round.
STEP 3: Merit List and Admission Confirmation
The university releases a merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the selection rounds. The seats in BTech and MTech programmes are offered under All India Quota and ACPC Quota. Selected candidates need to pay the SOT PDEU fee to confirm their seats.

- Certificate of approval to a subject as Vocational Subject, if it is mentioned as Vocational Subject in the application form, from the concerned State Board of Examinations

Candidates can apply for BTech and BSc programmes with a Class 12 score. The minimum aggregate required in Class 12 is 45% for BTech. The school has not specified it for BSc. SOT PDEU admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. SOT PDEU application forms are out in the month of January. Candidates applying for BTech admission at SOT PDEU can start applying from January. The application forms are usually open till end of May, therefore candidates can also apply once Class 12 or JEE Main results are announced.
