Candidates seeking admission to SOT PDEU BSc course are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed any of the following qualifying examinations with English as one of the subjects can get admission to the BSc programme as mentioned below:

• Class 12 examination from any recognised Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination
• Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
• General Certificate Education examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced level with minimum passes of two/ three subjects
• International Baccalaureate Diploma programme with the minimum passes of six subjects with 24 points
• HSC Vocational examination
• Intermediate Science or two-year Pre-University examination
• High School Certificate examinations of Cambridge University
• Senior Secondary School examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects

IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. SOT PDEU admission to BTech is based on entrance exam score.  Candidates can apply for BTech through JEE Main score. Admission to BTech is offered on All India and Government seats (ACPC Quota). Candidates can take admission in BTech Biotechnology through GUJCET score. Once selected, candidates are offered a seat in the university. 67% seats offered under All India Quota are filled based on JEE Main score and 33% offered under ACPC Quota are filled based on GUJCET score. Aspirants need to pay the programme fee after receiving the offer letter to confirm their seat in the university.

SOT PDEU BSc curriculum is divided into semester-pattern. Aspirants are required to study core and elective subjects throughout the programme and apart from this, a number of seminars also take place throughout the programme.
