Q:   What is unique about Sri Venkateswara College?
    15thumbs up
    A:
The focus on holistic education is one of the characteristics that make Sri Venkateswara College unique. In the College's opinion, education should be more than academic training; it also needs to focus on self-development and character building. To that end, the school offers a range of opportunities for students to participate in various activities and events such as service work or outreach. If you're are sports enthusiast then this college is definitely for you, from cricket to football, badminton, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis it has everything you can think of. Not only sports but it does also consists of dance societies, music societies etc. Some teachers in the faculty also dedicate much time in equipping students with practical knowledge as well, creating a perfect balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Let me get you with a better view on this point, one of our teachers in commerce faculty helped all of us connecting with some of her past students who were placed in good companies such as google, Delloite, KPMG such face-to-face interactions which also includes Q&A session is definitely a pool of knowledge for all current students. So, yes these were some unique points about Sri Venkateswara College which definitely make it stand out from the crowd. Hope you liked it, Thanks.
Q:   How is mess food at Sri Venkateswara College?
    A:
I've never tasted the food in mess but according to some of my friends who used have access to Venky's mess said that, most of the time the food was good and hygienic but sometimes it may be annoying to eat same meal multiple times in a week. But I think that's how college life is you've to sacrifice your taste and comfort you used to get earlier in your home.

All about Sri Venkateswara College and South Campus.
Placements: Overall, it is a very good college. You have to study hard to get into this college. After that, everything is really easy-going and happening. The companies recruiting are also good. You can get placements from the campus itself if you are in a good position in your batch.
Infrastructure: The college was built years ago, and that is reflected in the campus buildings. Currently, the classrooms do not have AC, but that is now changing as the college is installing ACs in the rooms this year. However, the fees have increased a little. Overall, it is a good campus.
Faculty: The teaching staff is mostly from South India, so they may have difficulty speaking fluent Hindi, and their English accent can be a bit confusing. However, they are not rude. Some of them are, but around 90% are helpful, while a few do not care much.
Other: The Nexus is the best fest.

Great bunch of intellectual peers, good crowd, great campus, and a delicious Maggi point spot.
Placements: I have heard that a huge number of students from our college got placed and many reputed companies come for hiring students. Companies like Brain, Deloitte, etc., have also come to our college. Although I'm not exactly sure about all the companies and the percentage of students placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good if we talk about classrooms. It's not special but it's adequate according to a government-run university. The great part is the college has greenery all around and is greatly breathable. Although some classes need improvement, it delivers satisfactory service. The canteen and library are also in great condition. The only suggestion is that the library should have more seating capacity.
Faculty: I have had great interaction with the professors of my course. They are helpful throughout the course and are also available on either text messages or calls. The attitude and approach of all the teachers are adequate, which a student expects from their mentors. Talking about the semester exams, one needs to be through with previous years' question papers and have an adequate learning of their course and subjects. Delhi University colleges often follow past-year question trends, but also one needs to study properly for the subject they have chosen.
Other: Our college has many vibrant societies and clubs which not only give knowledge in different spheres to students but also expose them to different events and activities happening all around Delhi and help in networking with a bunch of like-minded peers. Also our campus is beautiful structured and has metro it's beside only which makes connectivity more.

Amazing college with the best of knowledge.
Placements: Very few students are placed in this particular course. I have no idea about the packages, as the placements are very low. Deloitte is the top company known to me that recruits from our college. Internships are also self-placed and not provided by the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, with working Wi-Fi and labs. The classroom condition is also very nice, with good furniture and all the necessary tools required for a lecture. I'm not a hostel student, so I have no idea about the hostel food, but the canteen is good and all other facilities too.
Faculty: The teachers are very nice, helpful, and very approachable. They are quite qualified and knowledgeable, with years of experience, as it shows in their teaching skills and the way they conduct classes. The exams are of a moderate level and the pass percentage is quite good.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in literature and the fests, crowd, and events are very amazing.

Good academics and teachers. Supportive faculty.
Placements: Not many placements for socio hons. Mostly students go for a Master's after socio hons. However, placements for commerce and science students are there. In NGO students do find placements. While the placement cell supports internship opportunities, opportunities for socio hons are limited.
Infrastructure: College provides good infrastructure. Wi-Fi and labs are good. Canteen and mess are not hygienic and still need improvement. While the food is reasonably priced, the quality is not satisfactory. A medical room with first aid is available. Games and sports are very good.
Faculty: Excellent faculty, especially in socio hons. Teaching quality is commendable and classes are made engaging by using reading and extra material. Semester exams are moderately difficult, preparing students for final exams. Overall the academic environment is good.

SVC has ensured that I will never regret my academic life.
Placements: SVC is one of the best-rated colleges of DU and placements have played a significant role in that. For my course which is Economics major I am certain that placements for our course are unarguably the best. However B.Com (Hons) students get more limelight in placements and from Big 4 to many listed entities come to SVC every year for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is one of the best that one will see in Delhi University Colleges. Housing which is our sports ground is the biggest sports ground among DU colleges. From an open gym to a cricket ground and some badminton courts it has everything. Labs too are amazing but canteen needs serious development.
Faculty: DU faculty members are among the best and SVC again is pivotal as SVC faculty members are rich in experience and someone who has always aligned with us. I am entering my second year and all the faculty members I had an interaction with very so humble in nature. Since I have opted for economics major, our top subjects remain basic statistics, basic math, macro, and microeconomics.
Other: College fests are one of the best things about Venky. The year begins with Jalsa (a small cultural fest for the freshers) and then it turn up to the biggest college fest of the Delhi University Nexus. Nexus is a 3-day event where the whole campus vibes with various activities to keep everyone hooked. Apart from the college fest every society conducts its own small annual fest which makes the campus even more lively.

    Amazing college with great infrastructure.
Placements: Very few students are placed in my college, especially in my course. Since it's a literature course, the package offered is not certain, I've not heard of any top company recruiting in my course. Internships are also self-joined and not provided by the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really amazing with good classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a library. All sorts of study materials are available in the college library, which helps a lot rather than finding material on the internet, which is sometimes very confusing and difficult.
Faculty: Teachers are really nice with quite a long-term experience, which eventually shows in their teaching skills. The classrooms are a safe space for sharing and learning new thoughts and also for having great intellectual discussions. The exams are also moderate.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in literature and the fest. The campus crowd and connectivity are amazing.
