The programmes offered by SSNCE are affiliated with Anna University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admission to the BTech courses is strictly by merit. Find complete admission procedure steps in the following sections.
STEP 1: SSN College of Engineering Application Process 2025
Eligible students can visit the official website of SSN College (ssn.edu.in) to register. After registration, candidates can login using the Login ID and password. The complete application procedure involves online registration, login and application form filling, document upload, application fee payment, and application submission.
STEP 2: Admission Test
For BTech and MTech programmes, the selection is completely merit-based. Thus, aspirants' scores in the last qualifying examination are taken into consideration. However, for MBA, the candidates have to sit for the admission test conducted by the college.
STEP 3: Release of Merit List
After the conclusion of the application process or the admission test, a merit or selection list is published. It may release a cutoff list for some courses. The names of candidates shortlisted for further selection rounds are mentioned in this list. It can be checked on the official website as well.
STEP 4: Counselling OR GD/PI/Essay Writing
Candidates shortlisted for SSNCE BTech course admission have to participate in the TNEA counselling for seat allotment. Moreover, for MBA, shortlisted candidates have to take part in GD/PU/Essay writing for selection.
STEP 5: Admission Confirmation
Candidates selected for admission shall be intimated over mail or a list can be released for the same. Such students can further confirm their admission by paying the required amount of fee.

The selection of the candidates at SSN College of Engineering for the M.Tech programme is based on the scores obtained in the last qualifying exam. However, candidates need to fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria. The admission process for M.Tech contained a few major steps. Candidates who are eligible for MTech can apply for the same. M.Tech admissions are strictly merit-based. Hence, applicants' scores in the last qualifying exam are considered for selection. Moreover, preference is given to candidates with valid scores of GATE or TANCET. However, the scores of above stated entrance tests are not the selection criteria. The application form is available online on teh official website and eligible candidates can apply online through the same.

SSN BTech total course fee is inclusive of various components such as the tuition fee, enrolment fee, library fee, security deposit, etc. The fee for BTech courses (including tuition fee and some other components) in SSN range between INR 1.2 lakh and INR 2 lakh. This given fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes.

SSN College of Engineering is ranked at 45th spot in the NIRF 2023 rankings under the "Engineering" category. The college provide placement support to the students. A total of 617 students were placed out of 672 in the 2023 BTech placements. Moreover, the highest package offered was INR 117 LPA. The total seat intake of the SSN College of Engineering MTech course is 162. There are 18 seats available for each of the MTech programme. At the time of admission, the seat allotment is carried out as per the seat intake. This seat intake is further as per the an official document released by the engineering college. No, SSN College of Engineering BTech admission is completely merit-based. It is not mandatory to have a JEE score for admission to BTech in this institute. However, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria.
