Don't take admission to St. Mary Technical Campus without reading this review.
Placements: There is no placement of any kind here. Only a few students get placements and that too is of 1.2 LPA or less. There is no facility for internships of any kind here. You can do an online internship here. Please do not think about any kind of internship while going to this college. There is no facility of any kind available here.
Infrastructure: There are no good facilities here. There is no lab for instruments. There is no lab available on some days. There is no librarian in the library as well. Most of the time, the library remains closed. Even for academic preparation, the number of books is very low. There are only 1-3 books, and for some subjects, books are not even available.
Faculty: There are no good teachers here, and even good teachers are leaving the college. No teacher is good or knowledgeable. This college is under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University (MAKAUT), so the difficulty level is the same as that of MAKAUT. The passing percentage of this college is 50%.
Other: The fee of this college is very low compared to other private colleges in West Bengal, that is why I took admission in this college. The best thing about this college is that there is no need for attendance. There is no festival of any kind here. Swami Vivekanand scholarship is given in this college.

Our college has bad hostel infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements and companies do not visit our college because of pandemic. Head of our department provided placements from some low-paying companies after passing. Most of them prepared for off-campus placements. Students got placed off campus in many MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini.
Infrastructure: Old hostel campus was below average with high fees. So most of the students who get scholarships stay at the hostel. Food served in the hostel was average. College has a football and a volleyball ground. Laboratory for the CSE department has good infrastructure with good Wi-Fi and subscription to many online learning portals. Library doesn't provide textbooks to the students and many good famous books were not available.
Faculty: Teachers are the best parts of our college. They are helpful and guide students in many ways and prepare for the off-campus exams. The teaching quality of most of them is good. Our college follows the MAKAUT curriculum, so the course curriculum is very good. Our college conducts 2 internal exams in a semester, the practical labs from an external and the main written exam at the end of the semester in which questions are mostly subjective.
Other: Our college is inside the village which is a good place for students to self-study. Education was not good in our college due to mismanagement and upper authorities. Campus fest was arranged once in 4 years. Our batch prepared for the off-campus placements and many got successful.

St. Mary's Technical Campus offers the best education at the lowest fee.
Placements: The placement cell is much serious and caring about their students. But there is an issue in placements. MNCs do not come for placements, but small local companies give opportunities for students by conducting aptitude test and face to face interviews. Students are efficient to crack them, and some students are offered 12 lacs per annum salary packages. ME and civil engineers get jobs in their field, and IT sector related jobs are offered for CSE students. Campusing is mainly done by pool campusing process. A maximum number of students of final year and 3rd year get internships from the college.
Infrastructure: The college area has Wi-Fi connection, but there is a network issue few times. Labs have enough number of instruments but not AC. Classrooms are developed, and a projector facility is available in classrooms. The library is rich with a lot of books, and there is a perfect environment to study. There is no medical shop in the campus, but it is available outside (just near the campus). The college is very much active in sports, and there is a sports department that conducts various activities. Annual sports and games competitions are organised every year. The college has its own bus service for the convenience of students, and average quality food is available in the canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are the real heroes of the college. They are very much helpful and caring about their students. Most of them are PhD holders in their respective subjects, and the rest of them are M.Tech graduates from IITs, Jadavpur, etc. They teach with the help of a projector providing practical knowledge, and their teaching quality is excellent. The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. There is a teacher of computer science department who had good industry experience. His name is Biswajeet Patra, and he provides knowledge about the real scenario of the IT industry. The course curriculum is useful.
Other: Many events like debate, quiz, and blood donation camps are organised by the students and management. The campus is spacious, and in that sense, it is not crowded. The college has its own bus which connects the college to Barrackpore and Barasat. The campus is full of green trees, and the surroundings are quite well. The college provides scholarships depending upon the merit of students during admission. Students are excited about the fest, and they celebrate it cheerfully. There are even many cultural programs organised by students for various purposes.

Waste of money and career.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any sort of placements. They just informed us about a pool campus that was going on in Techno India. Moreover, two or three companies came to provide placements. But, unfortunately, they were BPOs. It was the same with our senior batch too. It is a fake college providing fake jobs. Fake promises were made to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The campus is huge. It is far better than any other college. It has hostels on the campus for both boys and girls. The campus consists of the football ground, 3 boys hostels, one girls' hostels, one canteen, and one indoor stadium.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful. They taught us well. But, we can do nothing with our studies if we don't get any sort of placements in our college. The faculty were qualified too, and they provided us quality education. Methods used were teaching on the blackboard and using projectors. We did not get any industry exposure.

It is good for future life. I enjoyed my college days a lot.
Placements: I was in the very first B.Tech batch. We had MCA seniors. Most of the MCA seniors have been placed in TCS. The highest salary offered was probably 2 LPA. In our batch. We appeared for 2 companies, Xperteez and Systrom. The packages offered was around 2 LPA. The job role was a software developer. The education quality is very good. The placement cell of our college is still struggling to get more companies as we have a lack of employers in Kolkata.
Infrastructure: It is an only technical campus in West Bengal. The technical campus name, the price is high, and so is the maintenance. All the expected facilities are available such as Digital Library, Wi-Fi, Sports room, Auditorium. The types of equipment in the labs are more than needed. I never faced any infrastructure issue apart from power cuts as it is not possible and feasible to run the diesel generator even for a 10 minutes power cut.
Faculty: All the support from faculty members and management are there 24/7. The faculty are highly qualified, some PhD and some are M.Tech graduates. We got industry exposure in our labs. Now, I am working with an MNC in Bangalore, and our faculty members once told most of the work I do. The course curriculum for computer science students is highly relevant to what companies expect.
Other: The green and clean environment surround the campus. We used to have sports week. Fest is organised every year by the students with help from management. We enjoyed Anupam, Gingerfeet, Spunk, Siddhu, and Kolkata's 3 best DJ'S.
