Review of St. Peter’s Engineering College.
Placements: In our college, almost 60% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS and Bluediano visit our campus. We will jump to the IT side with fewer opportunities in the mechanical branch. Almost 30% of students get internships in TCS. Roles offered are machine developer and designer.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi. It has a variety of books at its core and other books to read. Our classrooms are large and have projectors for visual effects. We have labs separately in the workshop for mechanical students. It has all types of machines in it but they are less used.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified and helpful in clearing students' doubts. They use simple methods to clarify students' doubts. The course curriculum is relevant to students and industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted by strictly ensuring that they only give the syllabus material to study and pass the exams. The passing percentage for students is 65%.
Other: I like the mechanical field and I work hard in it. They conduct events every year. Our college has good weather and a good crowd.

I am dissatisfied because of the placements for core branches, and good ambiance.
Placements: There are no core placements for mechanical students. Only IT companies recruit CSE, and ECE branches. The salary packages offered are less for the mechanical branch. Even the salary packages offered are very for mechanical with 1 LPA. For other software sectors, they are offering very high salary packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It has Wi-Fi, a digital library, and digital classrooms. There are facilities like sports and games. Good medical facilities are provided by the college. There is a digital library and a normal library. The digital classrooms are very good.
Faculty: Teachers here are not up to the mark. They are assigned other subjects which are relevant to their teaching subjects. The pass percentage is around 70 %. The semester exams are easy. But they need to take the students to industrial visits for practical knowledge.
Other: It would be better if they assign the correct teachers for subjects.

It is a good college, but it can be improved.
Placements: I am studying in this college for the past three years. I didn't see many placements as other colleges, but placements are not that bad. Placements in this college are average. In mechanical and electrical branches, chances of getting jobs in the core industries are a bit hard because 8 out of 10 companies are of software.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are good enough, and free Wi-Fi is available around the campus. The library is well-maintained with sufficient books, and labs are also well-equipped. They provide a college hostel, and the campus is very well-designed.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-knowledgeable and qualified, but the quality of the teaching should be improved. They focus only on studies rather than other activities. The course does not make students industry-ready. It is also difficult to clear semester exams.
Other: Fests are done very well that no other campus would celebrate as they do.

An average college with average placements.
Placements: The placements in our college are below average as very few students get placed. Mainly, the students from CSE and ECE get placed because of their software background. The students of other branches have very few opportunities. Students must have different skills other than academics, such as Python, Java etc. Communication and soft skills play a major role.
Infrastructure: Our college has a decent infrastructure. The campus has a huge playground, library, basketball court and well-equipped labs. The hostel facilities are available only for girls, and boys have to stay in the nearby private hostels. The canteen food is hygienic, and we have a juice stall on the campus. We have sports sessions twice a week. Students can also use Wi-Fi provided by the college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive throughout our academics. The teaching quality is not up to the mark, where an individual must put in some extra efforts to gain subject knowledge. Most importantly, the staff always share their experience, which helps us in our personality development.
Other: I am from the EEE department, where this college plays a decent role in that department. I chose this college because of the low fee compared to other colleges. I will get Rs. 35,000 of fee reimbursement every year, and in addition to this, a scholarship of 5,000 too. This year, our college became autonomous, and so, we hope that the college works on its loopholes. Every year, we have a sports fest and annual day celebrations.

I am satisfied with college, good placements and infrastructure.
Placements: In my batch, there are 6 sections, with a minimum of 360 students. Our college provides good placements with higher packages. Recently, one of my college students got placed in Microsoft and Amazon and other major companies. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Adobe etc. Overall, the placements are good.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with a good environment which makes students learn new skills. The college has good canteens that provide good food facilities. A good parking facility and a library are also available.
Faculty: The college provides good faculty members who help the students to focus on gaining new skills. The college has highly qualified lecturers. I think the curriculum is the best for students. Teaching quality is good for students to learn new skills and increases creative skills.

The BTech CSE syllabus differs on the basis of the college offering the course. Every college follows a particular coursework pattern set by the college committee. Q:   Is there enough demand for BTech graduates in the job market?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

If we look at the market demand, no doubt there is huge demand for BTech (Full Form: Bachelor of Technology) graduates among top recruiters who are constantly looking for skilled and knowledgeable students with fresh ideas to enhance their business growth and profitability.

Having said that, a few previous-year employment reports published by the Business Standard and Times of India suggest that students found it a struggle to land a high-paying job after completing BTech because of a lack of industry-specific skills and knowledge and cut-throat competition between Lacs of engineering students hunting for a job.

Hence, it is very important for students to focus on enhancing their skill set according to industrial demands and technological advancements, stay updated regarding all industry trends, build good networks and, most importantly, take up internships to gain experience and stand out in front of the employer.
