Review of Swami Shradhanand College.

Placements: All students have opportunities to attain internships through the college. The college provides the necessary support to ensure internships. Most students who are willing to work hard receive efficient support from the college and attain placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities of my course are top-level. There are large classrooms where 70 to 80 students can sit at a time. Wooden tables and chairs are provided for students. All classrooms have projector facilities. The college has a huge library with all kinds of books and a separate floor for reading. The library is fully air-conditioned. Students can access the library and books using a library card, which is given to every student.

Faculty: The college has a pretty good faculty. Faculty includes well-experienced and efficient teachers. The quality of teaching is top-level. Most teachers graduate from top universities with high rankings. Faculty is very open and friendly. They provide a free and safe environment for students. The semester exams are conducted on time and are very organized. Students write the exams under the supervision of teachers. The exam difficulty varies according to the papers. The exam grades decide whether the student passes or not. The grade F denotes that the student has failed a paper. I got admission to this college through the CUET (Central University Entrance Test) in the year 2023. There are 70 students in my course. The average fee package for completing the full course is around Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 45,000, and this amount varies according to the course. The college provides both honors and regular degree courses.

Other: The campus life is not that good. There are some programs during festivals and campus fests, but none of them are energetic. They are mainly for showoff. Apart from attending classes, the campus life is pretty boring. The campus has clubs like the environment club, English club, history club, etc., for students to join and ensure their participation.

The college is overall average due to the fact that it is an off-campus college.

Placements: The college doesn't facilitate any placement cells as of 2024. The alumni discussed their placements and they were placed off campus. The college should focus on having a placement cell, as it makes the career growth and opportunities offered to the students more than enough.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very modern yet it's workable. Some things, like basic amenities like fans and sitting tables, can be better maintained but the college does it only once or twice a year. The college does have a canteen on the premises; however, a limited number of food items are available. There is no official hostel at the college; students have to rent PGs that are easily available around.

Faculty: The faculty at the college are very experienced and are really qualified individuals. The course curriculum offers us a complete overview of our entire history throughout the Big Bang. The syllabus is useful but learning is comparatively harder than in other subjects. The semester exams are held at the college only; they are not very hard as you get multiple options in the question paper.

For the arts faculty, our college is good, especially the geography department. Library is so good.

Placements: Almost 75% of students were placed in our college and I do not know about internships. Drama roles are offered in our course. Our students also participate in in ABVP. Renaissance is also offered in our course. The highest package is 50 LPA and the lowest is 50 LPA.

Infrastructure: There are two buildings in our college. One is new building and another one is old. Library is too large, and there are many books available for us. Hostel is not available. Our college is good in sports such as cricket, etc. Canteen is also good in our college. Medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Teachers are very good in our college. They are very helpful for us in studies and other activities. Many teachers have done double M.A. in their subject. Our exams are average, they are not so hard. There is no cheating done. Pass percentage is 33.

Average college and campus.

Placements: I am in 2nd year so now no one has got placed from my course because companies did not come to the college to recruit students yet. As per my knowledge, no one got internship. Being honest, we are just going to the college regularly and we study and attend the lectures daily.

Infrastructure: The facilities in my college are average. There are two campuses, one is old and the other one is new. In new campus, there is drinking water available on only ground floor. There is no Wi-Fi but there is a big library without AC. There is no college hostel and canteen was not much good. Our college ground is big and much better than our campus. The college does not organise any game or sports event.

Faculty: To be honest, we can say that most of the department’s teachers are good and helpful. Our professors have their own style, so everyone does not understand their methods. The course does not make students industry ready. Semester exams are difficult because we write more and more.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like to read about our history.

It is good for students, who are sincere about their career.

Placements: Placement is very rare.10% students get placed, that too rarely. Average package is 50000 per annum. It is good, but depends on the expectation of students. Placement cell is not very active.

Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi facility in the college campus. There are professional labs, with required equipments. The library facility is good. Hostel facility is not available. There is good sports infrastructure.

Faculty: History faculty is quite good, and it comes under top 10, in DU. Geography faculty is one of the best, among all the colleges in DU. Curriculum is similar with the Delhi university annual curriculum.

Other: I have chosen history, because I have interest in historical facts, and I also want to proceed my career in archeology. The educational trips should be increased from one, to atleast three or four.

Big infrastructure and no. 1 college in terms of sports especially cricket.

Placements: About 30% of students are placed through history honours because many students further try to prepare for UPSC. About the package, I don't know because I don't have yet got any packages. Google, Cisco, and many other famous companies give tier internships.

Infrastructure: The college is divided between two buildings, the Old building and the new building. Both buildings are too big. The sports grounds are also too big. There is no hostel facility provided by the college but students reside nearby PG and flats. They are all affordable. Area is good.

Faculty: Teachers are too much helpful to students. They clear all doubts. Most have done their PhD and they are amazing in their field. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant to students. It makes students ready. Semester exams depend on the study of the students, and how they prepare for their exams.

Other: As I was good at hist that's why I chose to pursue further history and chose history Hons. Study materials should be given by the professors.

It is an average college, and you will enjoy the environment. Placements are not so good.

Placements: Only a few people get placements and that too from the commerce department only. In the previous year, one of my friends from the commerce department applied for placement in Jio but he was not able to get that. In our course history, placements are below average.

Infrastructure: No hostels are provided. The department is fine. Internet connectivity is very weak on the college campus. They provide Wi-Fi but that is not good. No medical facilities are provided. It has a good and huge ground for cricket, kabaddi, and football. We also have a badminton court.

Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, and exams are difficult only for those who don't study. Generally, students in our course don't get exposed to the various aspects of society practically, exams are just the game of 10 years and the pass percentage is as same as the DU colleges have.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest and this course is helpful for any student to understand history and society. As far as the improvement is concerned we don't get opportunities to use theories in practical like college don't take us to the historical places which we study about. Extracurricular activities are good, and one will enjoy the fest.

It is a pretty good college. Students who reside in north Delhi can seek admission here.

Placements: As I belong to the history department, there are no placements for this course. You've to study further. However, I've heard from my college mates about the placement cell.

Infrastructure: Very particular things which are useful are provided in this college like labs, Wi-Fi, library, canteen, etc. The quality of food served is above average. The canteen needs to be reconstructed, and many food items and beverages can be added to the menu. A good environment can be created around.

Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They taught me and my batch with their utmost priority, and they arrange thorough discussions topic wise with perfect examples. Class tests and good topics were provided for assignments so that we could be more knowledgeable. Exams conducted here are not difficult.

Other: I chose the history course because the teachers of this department are comparatively best compared to other colleges. Everything is just fine, and improvements can be made in the surroundings of the college, administration and canteen.
