Best college for geography.

Placements: About 80% of students got placements and jobs. Our college provides good placements at an affordable rate and price, and about 50% of the students got internships, and Swami Shraddhanand College provides most of the courses, according to me.

Infrastructure: Swami Shraddhanand College has above-average infrastructure in most courses, and I am from B.A. geography honors, where departments provide good infrastructure and good teachers. Swami Shraddhanand College is also a top college for sports and games; otherwise, it provides medical facilities as well.

Faculty: In our department, teachers are really good, helpful, and qualified; they help us with every problem and are very knowledgeable. Also, semester exams are not very difficult. May be they are difficult, but with the help of the teacher, it seems average, not more tough.

Other: I chose this subject because I have an interest. In this subject from class 11, and then at that time, I decided to pursue a degree in geography and dreamed to become a professor. Our college is excellent in geography, with good infrastructure and good faculty.

Review of Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Less than 5% of students got placed in our college. The salary packages are not offered to students. Internships are rare in our college. We have to search for internships.

Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are good but are not well-maintained. Labs are clean and have equipment. Wi-Fi is not available in our college. Laptops are old. Projectors are not available in our college. The library has many books for reference. It has a good and huge reading room. It has newspapers. There is no hostel facility in our college. Many PGs are available near our college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and good. The teaching quality is average. Students are not much prepared for industry, but they get field experience like a survey. Semester exams are difficult. They ask direct questions but may change due to new policies.

Other: I got a good experience in our college. In the geography department, it is a good experience of learning GIS, cartography, etc. Our college should improve its placements.

Review of Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Placements are not much good in our college. Many companies won't visit our college to recruit students because it is due to the remote location or any other factor. Our college provides many placements. Most of the students go for higher studies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is good enough as we are in the new building of our college. Only a few labs are available in our college for all courses. There is no hostel facility in our college. Many PGs are available near our college at affordable prices.

Faculty: Teachers are experienced. They help us throughout the semester. Some teachers don't pay much attention to students' needs. They complete the syllabus on time. They conduct class tests. The difficulty level of exams is easy to moderate. Students can score well in their exams.

Other: I opted for this course because I want to do a master's degree in geography. The best thing about this course is that it provides theoretical and practical knowledge. This course is very interesting.

A college worth living college life.

Placements: Placements are not that encouraging but if you have good percentile, a better learning experience, a good contacts and a better understanding of your subjects. Placements can be given with reputed companies of your likes. Also, there are many chances to have a good salary.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in new building but in old building, it is a matter of concern. Nevertheless, All the major departments classes are taken in new building. There are many labs with better infrastructure to include 100 of students.

Faculty: Teachers are experienced and have a variety of knowledge and skills to make a student understand the subject matter. Likewise, college exams are easy who studies the whole semester with fun and do extracurricular activities. The teaching staff are helpful.

Our college has the best infrastructure.

Placements: Our college arranges for placements very rarely. Some local-based firms approached our campus and recruited a few students only. The jobs offered are temporary for a short period to gain some experience and a certificate.

Infrastructure: Our college provides different laboratories for all courses. Our college provides us with all facilities like a library, a seminar hall and an amphitheater in the middle of the building. There is a huge playground with a football field, basketball court, and cricket pitch. The hostel facility is not available in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is not good. The curriculum is thoroughly followed and few subjects such as remote sensing and GIS comply with modern-day requirements. Teachers' method of teaching geography is traditional. Geography is an evolving subject so influential teachers and trainers are needed along with experienced professors.

Other: I opted for this course because it helps me in various government exams. The weightage of geography is substantial. Annual fests and cultural activities are conducted in our college. Extracurricular activities are conducted by various societies such as drama society, arts, and literary society, fashion society, commerce society, etc.

Review of Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi.

Placements: There are no placements in our college. Most of the students opt for master's or prepare for civil services. Placements take place for courses like B.A. economics honors and B.Com. Few students also visit abroad to do master's. Internships are also offered in our college.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and laboratory are good. The library is average. Our campus is not Wi-Fi-enabled. There is no hostel on our campus. PG is available nearby our college for both boys and girls. The food served in the canteen is not good. Playground is available.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our course curriculum is updated, as DU updates the syllabus always. Semester exams are not very difficult. If students attend classes regularly then they can score well. Almost 90% of students pass easily. Question paper is predictable, and there is time constraint in the exams.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Events and extracurricular activities are conducted. DTC buses are also available, and metro service is available from Jhangirpuri metro station. The connectivity and campus crowd are not good.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: Honestly, the placement offers are not so good. I have never heard of top companies coming here for placements. Most of the placements are offered with under 3 to 4 Lacs per annum packages. Most of the courses are non-job oriented in near future, so it becomes obvious to not get good placements.

Infrastructure: The campus is big (including old and new buildings), but it lacks facilities. We don't have good classrooms, and fans don't work properly. The labs are not well furnished. The ground is big and green, and it is the most satisfying place for me.

Faculty: Most of the teachers don't teach well. Some never come to college. They just postpone the classes for some vague reasons. We have to study on our own. But there are some teachers who teach wholeheartedly. Ultimately, we suffer a lot because of the teaching faculty members.

Satisfied with the education provided, but the location is not great.

Placements: There's nothing like placements in our college. However, I don't think this college offers placement-oriented courses. This college doesn't offer professional courses. However, for studying purposes, this college is highly underrated. The staff are highly qualified and always there to help you.

Infrastructure: All the labs have adequate infrastructure with proper equipment. For sports, this is one of the best colleges of University of Delhi. The canteen infrastructure is not up to the standards. But the food provided there is equally good. However, there is not a huge menu. The hostel is not available in college, but there are several PGs nearby.

Faculty: I guess the teachers here are the best you can get anywhere. All the teachers are highly qualified, dedicated, hardworking, and are always ready to help students. They are cooperative. They teach us like their own children. I have not faced a single issue with teachers.
