As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer. Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish & Latin American Studies, French and Turkish Language & Literature will consider CUET scores for admission starting 2022. Jamia Millia Islamia offers BA (Hons) programme across 17 specialisations along with a BA programme. For all the remaining specialisations (other than the aforementioned ones, the university will conduct its own entrance exam, namely JMI Entrance Exam for final admission. However, before every other criteria, all the interested students must have completed their Class 12 with 50% aggregate.

The eligibility criteria are different for B.A. (Hons) and Diploma programmes. For most of the courses, the criteria is to have not less than 50% marks in aggregate in the best of 5-papers in the 12th standard Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination. However, for certain courses the bar of minimum marks in 12th standard or equivalent is 45%. Candidates should apply only after ensuring the eligibility criteria for their selected course. Candidates whose last year or semester result is awaited can also apply for Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam.

Yes, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 registration commenced at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA released the CUET 2026 notification on January 03 and reopened the window on February 23. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2026 process commenced online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2026 exam must have completed complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.
