Below average college experience: Poor infrastructure and stagnant curriculum.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placement from the college is very low. To be exact, only a few students from the previous batch of 2024 got placement from the college. The placement cell of my college is also very inactive. Only a single student got placement from the Bachelor of Arts background.
Infrastructure: My college has two campuses. The new one, though better, still lacks basic facilities. There is no Wi-Fi, a poor network, a hygienic canteen, no medical services, and no proper sports equipment. Classrooms have broken fans, and air conditioning is not even considered. Yet, this is still better than the old campus. The old campus is over 50 years old with no major renovation. Its infrastructure is crumbling, and classrooms lack a proper roof, covered only by heavy metallic shades. Electricity is irregular, while Wi-Fi, canteen, library, medical, and sports facilities are completely absent, making it a unit for students.
Faculty: The faculty is the best part of Swami Shraddhanand College. Teachers, especially in Political Science and Hindi, are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. They guide us not only in academics but also for the future. Though the curriculum is static, teachers link it to the present scenario, making it meaningful. We have ability, value, and skill enhancement courses, but they lack practicality due to the stagnant exam pattern. Exams remain quantitative instead of qualitative. Students filling pages score high, while quality answers with less content score low. This needs urgent improvement for true learning.
Other: I am a Political Science enthusiast and chose to pursue the subject at the University of Delhi, preparing through CUET. (UG) and securing admission to Swami Shraddhanand College. The diversity within my core subject excites me. From public administration to ancient and modern political thought, and foreign policy. The cultural societies are vibrant, especially Pravaad. The debating society, where I have learned immensely. I participated in the 55th Youth Parliament in 2023 and later in MUNs and Youth Parliaments, even helping organize three events in the 2025 fest. Since the introduction of CUET, the student crowd has become more diverse, disciplined, and academically driven.

Absolutely satisfied with this college. It is a memorable journey of 3 years.
Placements: There was no proper placement cell at SSN. Though a new placement cell had been established recently which was working fine. During my course of study, I could not comment on the placement status due to the lack of availability of a proper placement cell. Making a network would be beneficial for placement purposes.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was quite decent. There were computer labs. Library was well-equipped. There was a proper ground for sports. The classrooms were decent. College was full of greenery, making the surroundings positive. The campus was way too big, and the canteen was decently priced too.
Faculty: Faculty members were awesome. They were well qualified in their respective fields and highly knowledgeable. They provided quality education. The course curriculum was perfect. The level of exams was decent, and above 80% of students passed. They provided good quality of education.
Other: B.Com (Hons) was a decent course and was quite in trend so I chose it. The course provided practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The fests and events were amazing and highly entertaining. There was a little issue with connectivity as the nearest metro was a little far away.

Everything is below average here.
Placements: 85% of students are placed from the B.Com H course. The highest, lowest, and average packages offered in my course are as follows the highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include KPMG, PwC, and HDFC Bank. Roles offered include Audit Associate, Financial Analyst, Tax Consultant, and Business Development Executive.
Infrastructure: Classrooms aren't as good as we expected, some ceiling fans don't work, and there's only one room with an AC, but not every student is allowed to sit there. I don't live in the hostel, so I don't know about the hostel life. The college encourages students to pursue their sports interests, and many students from here are playing in the IPL or have played at the national level.
Faculty: This is the only area where our college stands out. Teachers are very helpful and kind towards the students, they are qualified and knowledgeable with a lot of experience. I'm not completely sure about the curriculum's relevance to my course. I don't think it makes students industry-ready.

Absolutely satisfied with the college: No placement, good infrastructure, and good facilities.
Placements: The placement is not so good in this college, and a minimum number of students got placed. If you are interested in pursuing a B.Sc. (Hons) in any subject or program, I would say yes because it has better lab equipment with AC.
Infrastructure: The classes may be a little bad, but the labs are fully equipped. The library and reading room have AC, and PGs are available nearby (100m), but it's a little outside of Admin Delhi. The old infrastructure is not so good, but it has a large playground. However, the new infrastructure is much better.
Faculty: The college seniors and faculty are helpful. They are qualified. Many of them are authors of the book (e.g., Mehta and Mehta) on Chemistry. Teaching is good, and semester exams are not so tough because most of the questions are asked from previous years' questions, which the seniors provide you.
Other: I am Aman Kumar from Bihar, and I have taken admission into this college in 2025, and I am pursuing a B.Sc. in Life Science.

If you just want the Delhi University tag, then you're welcome.
Placements: The average package is around 4.5 LPA in this course. As per my knowledge, the highest package is 15 LPA from Swami Shraddhanand College. Honestly, the placement cell is performing better over the last year, and I think it will continue to improve in the coming years.
Infrastructure: There are two buildings, old and new. The new one has good infrastructure, well-equipped labs, classrooms, and a big library. One more building is under construction, which will definitely have good infrastructure. There is no hostel in the college, but you can find many good PGs around 8 to 9 km from the campus.
Faculty: Faculty is very good and supportive. You can score good in exams if you study properly before them. Teachers also help with any problems related to studies or other issues on campus. The semester exams are not very difficult. You need to pass both internal and external exams to clear the semester.
Other: I chose this course because I have a commerce background and want to pursue finance. The campus should have Wi-Fi, and more extracurricular activities should take place. The crowd is decent, and fests are held every year.

Swami Shraddhanand College offers a peaceful campus and an academically strong environment.
Placements: Approximately 20-25% students were placed through college-level placement. Many students preferred to go for higher education like MBA, M.A. economics, and other competitive government examinations. Highest package was 4 LPA. lowest package was 1 LPA. Wipro, HP, ICICI Bank, etc., are recruiters. Around 15-20% students got internships. Finance assistant, Customer support Associate, Call centre, etc., are roles offered.
Infrastructure: Most classrooms are spacious, with blackboards and fans, but some rooms in the old block lack maintenance. Labs as well. Overall, the college provides basic but functional infrastructure. While academics and faculty are the strengths, hostel availability and distance from metro are challenges. Facilities are improving gradually every year.
Faculty: Most teachers are well-qualified, holding PhDs or NET/JRF qualifications. Curriculum is designed by Delhi University, so it is academically strong. Semester exams are of moderate to high difficulty, depending on preparation. Economics papers can be tricky with graphs and theory. Maths is more technical. Around 85-90% of students pass each semester.
Other: Because when I was in class 12th, I was interested in economics, and at that time, I decided I would do my graduation in economics, which is why I opted for it. Practical improvement is needed. Swami Shraddhanand College is a part of Delhi University, and we all know the Delhi University's fests, vibes, and activities are active.
