NIE Mysore MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
MTech at NIE Mysore is spread across a wide range of specialisations. Some of the popular MTech specialisations are Structural Engineering, Computer Application to Industrial Drives, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Information Technology. All these courses are offered for a duration of two years. Moreover, the mode of education is full time.
Admission to NIE Mysore MTech courses is offered through the Karnataka PGCET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Thus, students must appear for the PGCET exam. However, the official website of the institute also mentions that students with a valid GATE score eligible to apply for the MTech programme. Before applying for the programme, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as stated below:
Eligibility:
- Candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination in B.E. and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for all the subjects for the entire course duration are eligible for admission to the MTech programme. SC, ST, and Category-I candidates should obtain a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for the qualifying examinations.

Note: The institute offers a few MTech seats under the management quota. Students interested in getting a seat via management quota are advised to get in touch with the admissions committee directly.
NIE Mysore MTech Fees 2025
At the time of admission to NIE Mysore courses, students must pay the prescribed fees to confirm the seat. As per the fee structure, the total tuition fee to pursue MTech ranges from INR 1.2 lakh to INR 2 lakh. Moreover, students who wish to reside in the hostels are required to pay a hostel fee.
