A few more updates are given below:
- The COMEDK UGET 2026 registration process has started for admission to the BE/BTech programme. The last date to register is Mar 16, 2026. Also, the COMEDK UGET exam 2026 will be held on May 9, 2026.
- The Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam for admission to the MBA and MCA courses will be held on May 14, 2026. For the ME/MTech course, the exam is scheduled for May 23, 2026.
- The KCET 2026 application window is now open for admission to the BE/BTech course. The last date to register is Feb 16, 2026 ( without a late fee). The KCET exam 2026 will be held on Apr 23 and Apr 24, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

- Less infrastructure compared to JC.

- The syndicate Bank that the college has inside the campus is a shithole, and every student will agree with me on this one.
- NIE is okay in terms of many other things, but if I had to choose between NIE and JC. I would prefer JC.
NIE Mysore provides a combined total of 254 seats for M.Tech under various engineering departments. The maximum intake is in Computer Science and Engineering with 120 seats. Commonly asked questions On Fees Breakdown
NIE Mysore BE fee is INR 2.6 lakh. The fees might include components other than tuition fees.
The BE tuition fee is calculated on the basis of first year. Hence, the actual amount may vary. Aspirants need to pay the course fee after completion of the selection rounds to confirm their seat in the institute. Besides, the programme fee, candidates also need to pay a registration fee in the start of the admission process.
The fee structure for M.Tech programmes at NIE Mysore for new session has not yet been released by the institute. Once the official notification will be out the same will be updated, though the fee structure may not include many changes. Admission to M.Tech at NIE Mysore is through Karnataka PGCET, GATE, or KMAT scores. Shortlisted applicants have to attend counselling organized by KEA. Applications can also be submitted directly at NIE Mysore through Management Quota. Seat allotment is category and availability as per merit.

Yes, But consider this also-
local placement is decent, teaching is decent, overall exposure/brand is Not as Esteem-able as BMSCE/MSRIT/Amrita.
For vibrant city life, internships, coding culture, and good placements, MSRIT or BMSCE Bangalore CSE is an excellent choice.
