Good environment for studying and exploring yourself.

Placements: Actually, no companies offered placement in Physics honours courses. In our college, there aren't any type of placement camps. Our placement cell is frequently working. However, through our college's JAM examination, many students were able to gain admission to IIT.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are very clean, and labs are full of new types of instruments. A student-friendly environment is very helpful. The library is also useful because of the variety of books available, as are librarians. There are no hostel facilities, but many PGs are available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and cooperative. But few teachers are able to help you from your point of view. But the course is not as worthy as it was. Semester exams are very difficult because of the short time period, which is also not fair. You do not properly understand your subject, but you have to give exams.

Other: To explore physics, I took it. College events and fests are very charming and heartwarming. Last year, KK was performing in our fest, and after that day, in another show, he breathed his last, which was very heartbreaking.

It is a good college for physics in Kolkata.

Placements: Placement opportunities in our college are very low. As the courses are general type, i.e., not related to extra skill, so none of the companies visits the campus for placements. None of the students from our batch got placed. If you want a job after completing B.Sc., then don't take admission in our college. However, many students after B.Sc. got from physics and chemistry department admission in IITs. Almost 15 out of 30 students from our batch got admission in M.Sc. in IITs and Calcutta University.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It provides free Wi-Fi facility. Along with the main library, each department has its own small departmental library. Students can get books from both. It has a large playground, and also indoor game facilities like table tennis, carrom, etc., which are good.

Faculty: Faculty members in our department are very helpful, especially Nirmalya Pahari sir. He worked a lot for students. At present, the number of faculty is also increased. Some of them also teach through PPTs. In chemistry and mathematics department, faculty members are highly helpful and knowledgeable.

Vivekananda is the presidency of south.

Placements: Vivekananda College is also known as the presidency of south Kolkata. Admission is strictly based on merit, but not on effective politics. From my batch, four students got selected for IIT (2 Guwahati, 1 Hyderabad, and 1 Kharagpur). Five students are studying in IIEST, Shibpur. Many others are doing M.Sc. in various colleges mostly in Rajabazar, Presidency, and St. Xavier.

Infrastructure: Our college has a large air-conditioned auditorium, a common room which is large enough and air-conditioned, and a huge playground. The canteen in the college is good, and the cost is also less than outside hotels. The whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. A large pond is located in the college so that you can enjoy your off-period. The air-conditioned library is available in the college, and all the books related to course and others are available.

Faculty: One can get various types of courses like B.Sc. (physics, chemistry, maths, biochem, nutrition, and CMS), B.A. (history, geology, English, journalism, and film), and B.Com (morning section). Our college is well-reputed for its games curriculum. Teachers are also fit. Every year, a teacher to student football match/cricket match is held in the college.

Other: If you want a politics-free great atmosphere for studying in south Kolkata, then VC is your right destination.

One of the good colleges affiliated under University of Calcutta with good infrastructure.

Placements: Since its a general course undergraduate degree so there is no such kind of placement that college offers to a candidate. Though there is no kind of placement because it is a general college, but different kinds of co-curriculum activities used to occur including different seminars by Foreign Scientists.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The college has its own campus, field and a river. The campus comprises of separate Science Block, Arts Block as well as another two buildings one for administration block and another building that includes auditorium central library seminar hall playroom and other facilities. The college is well equipped with seperate boys and ladies toilet; car parking area and a separate post graduation building. The Science buildings are well equipped with separate laborates with all modern instruments.

Faculty: The teachers of the college are extremely helpful qualified. Maximum Professor holds Ph.D. or Post Doc degree. Each department is provided with minimum 5 to 6 teachers with average school size 30 to 35. The teachers are really helpful and encourages students in different activities other than bookish education.
