XLRI Jamshedpur Admission Process 2026
For XLRI admission, candidates are required to apply online. Candidates can apply for more than one programme at the same time. XLRI admission process includes an application process, shortlisting of candidates for GD & PI, the release of cutoff and announcement of the final list for admission. 1: XLRI Application Process 2026
The admission process begins with the filling of the application form. Eligible candidates can visit the XLRI official website (xlri.ac.in) to apply. For PGDM, aspirants have to register for XAT. The application fee for XAT is INR 2,200 and INR 200 each for every additional programme of XLRI.
2: Selection
Candidates must appear for the XAT entrance test to be eligible for XLRI PGDM admission 2026. Soon after the declaration of the XAT result, XLRI releases the admission cutoff list. Those who meet the XAT cutoff, are eligible to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) round of XLRI course admission. Candidates with a valid GMAT or GRE score can also apply for PGDM GM. The institute selects candidates for Executive programmes based on their XAT or GMAT scores.
Candidates must have a valid national-level entrance exam score such as XAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, UGC-JRF or NET for admission to FPM programme.
3: Final Admission
The college shortlists students for PI based on their entrance exam scores. Apart from national-level entrance exam scores and screening of applications, XLRI also considers work experience, educational background and extracurricular activities.
4: Admission Confirmation
The final merit list and admission confirmation is based on XAT scores, Group Discussion and Personal Interview, etc. The institute releases the merit list of selected students for the final admission.

XLRI Jamshedpur fellowship programme duration is four years for the full-time residential Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). Additionally, it also offers a one-year Ex-FPM course as well. The accepted entrance exams for XLRI Jamshedpur FPM admission are XAT/UGC-JRF/NET/GMAT/GRE/GATE. Candidates shortlisted after application screening have to go through a personal interview round as well, conducted at the XLRI campus, Jamshedpur. Candidates who have completed BE/ BTech or its equivalent with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates) followed by two-years of relevant work experience can apply for FPM.

It is a full-time, residential doctoral course offering studies in different fields of management and functional areas. XLRI FPM admission is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in several national-level entrance exams.
Candidates who have completed BE/BTech degree or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% (50% for SC/ST candidates) obtained after completing higher secondary education can apply for FPM. Candidates are also required to pass Class 12 or any equivalent examinations. Two years of relevant work experience is also compulsory for admission to the FPM course at XLRI.
