Amrita will hold the AEEE 2026 CBT exam twice - phase 1 (January 29 to February 1) and phase 2 in (April 25 to 30). AEEE Exam Dates 2026
Amrita University conducts the AEEE exam for Amrita BTech admissions. The exam date is announced online, and candidates need to book their exam slots as per their availability to appear for the computer-based test.

AEEE CBT has one paper of 300 marks. 100 MCQs are asked in the exam from Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Quantitative Aptitude. Each question carries 3 marks, and 1 mark is deducted against each wrong answer. The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th. All the questions are of a Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers.

Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is through and based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main ranks. AEEE 2026 registration: AEEE 2026 registration process is online only. All eligible candidates can apply for the AEEE exam online on the official website. The AEEE application form for both phases has to be filled and submitted as per the application deadline. To register, candidates have to enter their name and contact details. The mobile numbers of the candidates are verified, and only after that can candidates complete the registration process. Candidates are advised to retain the registered mobile number and email they have submitted in the application form till all the admission procedures are completed, as all important updates will be informed to the candidates through SMS/e-mail or both.

AEEE 2026 Slot Booking: Candidates registered for AEEE have to select the “slot and time slot” of their choice, subject to availability, by visiting the University website prior to the last date. This process is called “SLOT BOOKING.” Test Centre, Number of days and Number of operating slots in a day are finalised based on the number of candidates for a particular city. The allotment of dates/slots is on a first-come come first-served basis. If a candidate does not exercise their option, they are assigned a date/ slot as per the availability of the same. To book the Exam Date and Slot, registered candidates need to click the AEEE slot booking link provided on the University webpage as per the schedule.
AEEE 2026 admit card: To download the AEEE 2026 admit card, candidates have to use their registered Email ID / Application Number and Date of Birth. Candidates must keep in mind that the admit card is not sent by post. One has to visit the official website, amrita.edu/admissions, to access the link to download the admit card. On the AEEE admit card, candidates can check important exam related details and instructions to follow at the exam centre. The admit card must be kept safe even after the exam until the admission process is completed.

AEEE 2026 phase 1 slot booking will start on January 10. Only the registered candidates can select their exam slots and download the AEEE 2026 admit card.
The AEEE 2026 application form for phase 1 and phase 2 is out. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form, and more than one application, i.e. multiple applications from a candidate, may get rejected. Candidates' names and their parents' names in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in the Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc. should not be used. The candidates are advised not to send the hard copy of the online application to the university. However, the candidates are advised to retain a hard copy of the application, i.e. acknowledgement page, for future reference or correspondence.

AEEE 2026 counselling (CSAP): Candidates with AEEE 2026 rank or JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Score or Rank have to register for CSAP 2026. AEEE 2026 Counselling is held for all AEEE qualified candidates, in order to get admission to the BTech programme offered at 5 campuses (Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore) of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

About AEEE Exam
AEEE is a computer based test that is held at national level for admission to Amrita Vishwavidyapeetha. Eight Amrita campuses offering BTech - Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar accept AEEE and JEE Main scores for BTech admissions. 70 percent of BTech seats will be filled based on AEEE scores and 30% seats will be filled based on JEE Main. AEEE is held twice a year. Candidates have option to appear in both or either phase.

Admission via AEEE is given in BTech courses offered at Amrita University campuses at Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil, and Haridwar. Candidates can check the campuses that offer BTech specialisation that they are interested in on the official website. Not all campuses will offer all the specialisations. For example, the Coimbatore campus offers all specialisations except for Electronics & Computer Engineering. Similarly, exceptions are applicable in other campuses too.
