Commonly asked questions
Q:   I got 6317 rank in amrita. Can I get ECE?
A:

According to a source, Amrita School of Engineering offers a B.Tech programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at its three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). Admission to undergraduate engineering courses that are offered in these campuses gets done through the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE). However, I couldn't find any information on whether a rank of 6317 is sufficient for admission into ECE at Amrita School of Engineering. You may want to contact the university directly for more information on admission requirements and eligibility criteria

Q:   What rank is required(in AEEE) for Mechanical Engineering? What is the admission procedure of this college?
A:
Admission to the Mechanical engineering department on the Coimbatore campus is based on the AEEE rank secured by the candidate and also the state from which the candidate hails. A Tamil Nadu candidate has a good chance of getting into Mechanical Engineering if he or she has a 6000 in the AEEE, however, the same is not valid for the other state candidates. They require a higher rank i.e. AEEE A.I.R.<2000 for the same. This is however a rough estimate. It may change every year based on the number of candidates attempting the AEEE.
Q:   I got 11k rank in Amrita entrance exam is there any of getting into Amritapuri campus with cse group or even specialization? I a from Andhra
A:

With a rank of 11k in Amrita Entrance Exam, you have a good chance of being admitted to the CSE program in the Amritapuri campus. However, admission decisions are dependent on several factors such as availability of seats, the number of applicants, and the cut-off scores for the program. It's always better to check with the official website of Amrita University and also check with the authorized personnel of the university regarding your chances of getting admission into the CSE program. It's also important to keep in mind that the admission process is competitive and the cut-off scores can vary from year to year.

AEEE Cutoff 2025

The following factors will be taken into consideration by the authorities while determining the cutoff of AEEE 2025:

  • Exam Difficulty: Was the AEEE 2025 tougher than previous years? A higher difficulty level might lead to a lower cutoff.
  • Past Trends: How did cut-offs fare in past AEEE exams?
  • Applicant Pool: More applicants mean more competition, potentially pushing the cutoff up.
  • Seat Availability: The number of seats offered by Amrita University directly impacts the cutoff score.
  • Student Intake: The total number of students the institute plans to admit influences the cutoff for each program.

AEEE 2025 Counselling Seat Allotment

Seat allotment is the process in which the candidates are allotted programs and campuses based on their AEEE ranks and scores. Before the candidates are allotted a seat, the varsity publishes a trial allotment.

What is trial allotment: Trial allotment is published for the candidates to understand the possibility of getting their highest Academic Preference. To check the trial allotment, candidates can follow the steps below:

  • Login with your registered email ID and password.
  • The candidate will receive OTP in their registered mobile number to login and check the trial allotment.

Trial allotment does not guarantee admission or the allotment of the same academic preference in the first allotment since candidates are permitted to change their Academic Preferences after trial allotment. Candidates are allowed to change the Academic Preference if they wish to do so, after checking the Academic Preference allotted in the trial run.

AEEE 2024 Counselling: Seat Acceptance

After the allotment of the seats, candidates have to practice seat acceptance. It is the process in which the candidates are allowed to accept or opt for a higher preference. Here are the seat acceptance options available for the candidates:

Option 1: Accepted

This means candidates have accepted the offer made in any of the CSAP rounds. Such candidates have the option to slide to a higher branch OR slide within the allotted branch itself, to a lower fee slab. “ACCEPTED” candidates have to pay INR 1,00,000 as partial tuition fees to opt for sliding. Payment should be made on or before the stipulated date, failing which the admission offer will stand cancelled and the candidate will not be considered for the subsequent rounds in CSAP.

There are three options for sliding:

  • A candidate is allotted 4th Academic Preference and wants to slide to any of the higher Academic Preferences – 4th / 3rd / 2nd / 1st irrespective of the fee slab.
  •  A candidate allotted 4th Academic Preference with 4th fee slab and wants the same Academic Preference as the one which is allotted but with a lower fee slab.
  • A candidate is allotted 4th Academic Preference with 2nd fee slab and wants to try higher Academic Preference if and only the fee slab of the probable higher Academic Preference is less than or equal to the currently allotted fee slab. If a higher Academic Preference with lower fees is not available, the software will try to allot a lower fee slab within the currently allotted Academic Preference.

Option 2: Confirmed

Confirmation of the seat is the final stage in CSAP for any candidate. Though the seat is confirmed, they must satisfy the eligibility criteria. Candidate status changes from “ACCEPTED” and “CONFIRMED” in CSAP. Such candidates will then proceed to pay the remaining tuition fees and need not attend succeeding rounds in CSAP.

Option 3: Waiting List

In this case, candidates are not allotted any of the Academic Preferences submitted. Here, candidates need not pay fees until admission is offered in any one of the CSAP rounds. In case of those candidates who are not offered at least one of the Academic Preferences till the last round of seat allotment, the Registration money paid will be refunded. These candidates can change the Academic Preferences already submitted at the time of registration.

For example, candidates who got their first Academic Preference and first fee slab.

Commonly asked questions
Q:   Can I get a scholarship in Coimbatore campus for CSE branch? I have secured 892 rank in AEEE.
A:
Hi, There is a chance for you. Keep your fingers crossed, but the chance of getting scholarship keeps on changing, based on the number of candidates opted at a particular location. As per note from the campus: Tuition fee waiver ranging from 90% to 25 % is awarded to the students, based on their rank at the time of admission counselling. Scholarship seats are earmarked in each branch in each campus. A total of 300+ candidates are eligible for scholarship at the time of admission and continuation of scholarship in subsequent years would require meeting the minimum required CGPA during subsequent years of study.
Q:   Is there is sc category reservation for amrita engineering entrance examination for amrita vishwa vidhya peetham.
A:
Yes, there is a reservation for SC category candidates in the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination AEEE conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. As per the guidelines of the Government of India, 15% of the seats in each course offered by the university are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC category. To avail of the SC category reservation, candidates must provide the necessary documents and certificates during the application process. The admission process for SC category candidates is the same as that for other candidates, and they must meet the eligibility criteria and qualify in the AEEE exam to be considered for admission.

Yea. You can easily get the ECE with your rank in the upcoming round. As a rank with 6056 is already very close and the Amrita CBE have always a slight range distance for ECE every year.
