Effective preparation tips for LPUNEST (B.Tech)

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is considered as one of the best institutes in India. It is the largest single-campus university in India. For UG Engineering admissions, LPU is conducting LPUNEST every year in online mode. In this article, we will discuss important chapters for every subject and effective preparation tips for LPUNEST
LPUNEST could be considered an easy exam as compared to other exams like JEE, BITSAT, etc. Therefore, the students could crack LPUNEST easily with less but smart efforts. For cracking any exam, one must know and understand the exam pattern.
LPUNEST is conducted online (MCQ) in the English language. There are a total of 110 questions from subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and English. The total marks and time duration of LPUNEST are 400 and two hours and thirty minutes respectively. There is no negative marking in this exam.
So now, we will discuss the important chapters for every subject based on previous years' paper analysis. Thus, focus more on these but do not fully depend on it.
Physics: Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Motion, Thermodynamics, Work Energy and Power, Gravitation, Atoms and Nuclei, Current Electricity, Electrostatics and Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism.
Chemistry: Thermodynamics, Atomic Structure, States of Matter, Chemical Kinetics, Solutions, Hydrogen, s, p, d and f Block Elements, Polymers, Biomolecules, Nitrogen, Basic Concepts of Organic Chemistry and Oxygen.
Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometric Functions, Complex Numbers, Matrices, Vectors, Binomial Theorem, Permutation and Combination, Probability, Geometry and Calculus.
Biology: Diversity in Living World, Structural Organization in Plants and Animals, Plant and Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Ecology and Environment and Biotechnology.
English: Synonyms and Antonyms, Grammar, Word Analogies, Idioms and Phrases, Errors, Sentence Correction and Comprehension.
Effective Tips
- Prepare from the particular books or material for every subject and don’t get confused by collecting and preparing from much material
- Less but effective material would help in scoring well
- Write the mock tests as much as possible
- Solve previous year LPUNEST papers
- Analyse the mistakes identified in mocks and avoid these mistakes in further attempts
- Make a handbook of important formulae and concepts for every subject
- Do effective and thorough revision by writing and not just reading
- Attempt every question of the paper as there is no negative marking in this exam
Suggested Time Distribution for LPUNEST
Physics: 40 to 45 minutes
Chemistry: 35 to 40 minutes
Mathematics: 40 to 45 minutes
Biology: 35 to 40 minutes
English: 14 to 15 minutes
