Finding the Perfect Fit: Why I Chose My College and Course

Choosing the right college is one of the biggest decisions of life, and for me, the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology Bhopal turned out to be the perfect one. I chose BTech because it matched my interests and aspirations perfectly. The college stood out for its excellent academic reputation, modern facilities, its campus, and the atmosphere around the campus. The course structure combines theoretical concepts with practical applications which helps me in learning in a more engaging and meaningful way. But, what makes the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology Bhopal truly special is its focus on overall development. It allows students to grow both academically and personally.

My Admission Journey

Getting admitted to the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal, was easy. I always wanted to study BTech because of my passion for new technologies and innovations. After analyzing the placement records, I decided to pursue my BTech from this college. To be eligible for admission to the college, I had to appear for the JEE Main exam and secure a good rank. The day I received my JEE Main result was one of the happiest days for my family and me. Preparing for the entrance exam was a challenging journey. But, looking back, I believe that hard work truly pays off because it opened the doors to my dream college.

Life at the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology: Learning, Growing, and Creating Memories

Life at this college is a wonderful mix of learning and fun. I am an active member of OIST AI CLUB, which helped me develop leadership skills and explore my passions. Some of my favorite memories include late-night study sessions with friends, cheering for our college team during tournaments, and participating in annual fests. The faculty members deserve special appreciation. They are very friendly and supportive. My mornings start with lectures that challenge my perspectives, followed by lively group discussions in the cafeteria. During the afternoon, we have labs where I dive deep into research. After this, I go to the library to do some self-study. Evenings are reserved for club activities. Participating in the OIST AI CLUB has been a significant highlight of my college life.

The Importance of Extracurricular Activities 

What makes this college special is its emphasis on extracurricular activities. It organizes various fests such as TEDx, Tech Fiza, etc., that helped me develop my leadership and public-speaking skills through participation in debates and workshops. These experiences have been as enriching as my academic journey. 

Building Lifelong Friendships

One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at the college has been the friendships that I’ve formed. From late-night study sessions to spontaneous weekend outings, these relationships have made my journey unforgettable. My friends have been my biggest cheerleaders who made even the toughest days feel lighter.

Overcoming College Life Challenges

College life has its challenges. One of the biggest challenges was to balance studies with extracurricular activities. But, with time, I learned how to manage my time according to my studies. Another challenge was to overcome my addiction to mobile phones. These experiences helped me to adapt and grow stronger. I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that this college has given me. It has made me more confident and a person who is ready to take on new challenges. My dream is to become a Software Developer in the USA.
