JNU MTech Admission 2020: Eligibility, Process, Fees, Application

JNU MTech admission season generally begins in the first week of March every year. The MTech programme is offered with various specialisations through multiple schools and centres, as listed below:

  • School of Computer System and Sciences
  • School of Engineering
  • Special Centre for Nanosciences
  • School of Biotechnology

JNU MTech Admission Process 2020

JNU MTech admission to all MTech specialisations except Biotechnology is based on Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE), followed by a viva voice. For MTech in Biotechnology, a candidate has to appear for Jawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (JNU CEEB). The eligibility criteria for all these programmes are tabulated below:

Master's degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/Statistics/Operational Research/any branch of Science/Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with 55% aggregate

Statistical Computing (Data Science)

Master's degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/Statistics/Operational Research/any branch of Science/Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Bachelor’s any branch of Engineering/ Technology with 55% aggregate

Statistical Computing (Data Communication)

Computer Science and Engineering

Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/Statistics/ Operational Research/ any branch of Science/ any branch of Engineering/ Master of Computer Applications (MCA) with at least 55% aggregate. PG holders of AYUSH related subjects are also eligible to apply

VLSI

Master's degree in relevant discipline

Nanoscience

Master Degree in any branch of Science, or B.E/B.Tech in any branch of engineering & Technology with 55% aggregate of a recognised University/Institution

Nanoelectronics

Master degree in Electronics or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering with 55% aggregate of a recognised University/Institution

Biotechnology

BTech/BE/MSc with minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA

JNU MTech Application Process 2020

JNUEE application process is explained below:

  1. Visit the official website of NTA
  2. Click on “Fill Application Form for JNUEE 2020” and create a login ID
  3. Fill in the personal and academic details
  4. Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the given dimensions
  5. Pay the application fee and click on ‘Submit’
