LPU sets placement record yet again
Lovely Professional University (LPU) is making new strides in placements of its students in top notch brands every year. For the last three years, LPU has set the highest placement record, and the year 2017 too proved no different. Crossing the mark of expected placement drives & offers, this year proved job-productive for LPU students not only in number but quality placement also. This year, 5015 offers (including internships) for graduating batches 2017 & 2018 have already been generated, with highest annual salary package of Rs 31.83 Lakh for engineering students and Rs 15.20 Lakh for management students. Of these, more than 600 offers have been extended alone by Fortune 500 companies. One of the top selectors, Schneider Electrical, which hires from only 21 Institutes of the country like IITs and NITs, has preferred only one private university, that is, ‘LPU’ to select its students. Job-profiles are also heightened as companies like Morgan Stanley, Amazon and more has chosen LPU students for the consultancy profiles. One of the top social media network ‘LinkedIn’ has also preferred LPU students as Campus Editors.
Presently LPU students are working world-wide with prestigious global companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and many more at salary packages of more than Rs one Crore. Corporate like Tech Mahindra, Amazon, and Capgemini alone have recruited 100 students each in 2017 placement session. The successful and shining placement stories of LPU students is another reason for large number of students, from far off Indian states and other countries, are increasingly preferring admission at LPU.
LPU is closely associated with a few brands. These brands consider LPU as ‘One Stop Solution’ for industry ready human resource. On these lines, Bosch first hired 80 students; again 14 interns, and 3rd time exclusively hired ECE students. Amazon first hired- 9 students at 15.5 LPA, again MBA students at Rs 15.20 LPA, and now 3rd time for other profiles. Similar are the coveted placements made by Kony Labs, CTS, Tek-Systems, Hitachi and many more.
During 2017, LPU also added many big brands to recruit its students, including Direct I, Morgan Stanley, VMware, TIVO, Thought works, Ashok Leyland, Siemens, Honda Two-Wheelers, Renault Nissan, Schneider Electrical, L’Oreal, Federal Bank, Airbus, Allegis Group, GSFC Agro-tech, Cipla, Must Garments and more. Presently, 800+ LPU students are also working on ‘Live Projects’ directly with the Industry like Infosys, Delta Powers, Teksystems, Decathlons, Sony, Future Group, DCB Bank, Oyo Rooms, PayTm and many more.
Some of the international companies including Voltas Engineering, Wilmar International, Must Garments, Diyar Infotech, P and O Cruise, Hettich, Al Thiqa Restaurant, Zamil Infra and more have offered international placements to LPU students. Top global and national companies including Google, Microsoft, SAP Labs, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, Intel, Dell EMC2, CISCO, Cadence, Texas Instruments, Bentley Institute, Lupin Pharmaceuticals and Safeducate have also setup their Centers of Excellence at LPU campus so that they may always excel in their respective fields.

We know that great universities world over are known by their successful alumni, and we are proud to share that even first citizen of the country, President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee appreciated the placement of LPU students during his convocation address made at LPU Campus. He wants LPU students to always possess a positive frame of mind to keep on rising in life”.

In 2016, Qatar Airways, offered the highest international salary package of Rs 20 Lakh followed by Hyatt Hotel, USA which offered a whopping Rs 15 Lakh package. As many as 200 placement drives were held by leading companies to hire students from the University. More than 100 drives alone were conducted for Science and Technology students, while 60 were organized for students from the Business Administration stream. As part of these drives, LPU students managed to bag roles in different sectors including Management, IT, Engineering, Banking, Agriculture, Consultancy, Architecture, Pharmaceuticals amongst others.
