MHRD NIRF Ranking 2018: BIHER ranked No.2 in ‘Outreach & Inclusivity’

The national Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India on September 25, 2015. The NIRF Ranking of Institutions across country have been released every year from 2016.

The rankings are based on parameters broadly: “Teaching, Learning and Resources”, “Research and Professional Practices”, “Graduation Outcomes”, Outreach and Inclusivity” and “Perception”.

The NIRF-2018 ranking was released under nine categories namely, Overall ranking, Universities Ranking, Engineering colleges, Medical, Law, Architecture, Management, Pharmacy.

Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research (BIHER), Chennai participated in this NIRF-2018 ranking under two categories – Over all Ranking and University Ranking. The institute was ranked No.2 under the parameter of “Outreach & Inclusivity” among all the Indian institutions in our country.

BIHER has also been ranked as the 21st best University among all Indian Universities and 35th  in the overall category by NIRF-2018 among all Indian Institutions.

In the state of Tamil Nadu, BIHER has secured the 3rd Rank among all Deemed Universities. In India, the institute is ranked as 6th Rank among all Deemed Universities.

NIRF-2018 ranking was released by Prakash Javedkar, Minister of Human resources and Development, Govt of India on April 3, 2018 at Vignan Bhawan, New Delhi. Sri Satyapal Singh MoS MHRD, Prof. Surendra Prasad, Chairman NBA, Dr. D.P. Singh Chairman UGC, Dr. Anil Shastrubathe, Chairman AICTE, Thiru Subramaniyan, Secretary Higher Education GOI and Academicians, Representatives of Various Institutions were a part of the event.

No, students cannot apply offline for admission in Bharath University. Bharath University application process is conducted in online mode. For offline application process, students must contact the college administration department.

To get admission in Bharath University, students must meet the eligibility requirement. The eligibility is to have valid scores in last qualifying exams. Check below eligibility:

  • For UG courses, students must pass Class 12 with valid scores.
  • For PG admission, students must have a graduation degree.

  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Graduation marksheet
  • Passport size colour Photo-3 copies/or soft copy
