The selection process for the BTech course at NIT Delhi depends on the scores achieved by applicants in JEE Mains scores followed by JoSAA counselling. Initially, the minimum eligibility criteria required by the institute is candidate' must qualify for their Class 12 from Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 75%. If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.

Lateral entry BTech admissions at GGSIPU are done on the basis of merit in IPU CET.
