If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.

Lateral entry BTech admissions at GGSIPU are done on the basis of merit in IPU CET.

In case of delay in the conduct of JEE or if JEE candidates are not available, the university may offer admission based on merit of aggregate percentage of first five subjects of the qualifying examination.
