M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering colleges in Ooty

VIT Vellore students get decent placements every year. In 2026 and 2025, highest package offered was INR 1 Crore per Annum. Further, more than 10000 offers were made in 2026. 

IIT Madras average package is yet to be released. However, the median package for  department such as CE, CS and EE, the average package recorded was 16.6 LPA, 29 LPA and 24.4 LPA. 

MTech is a two-year course divided into four semesters. SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur offers M.Tech in full-time mode in 27 specialisations and part-time in nine specialisations. GATE Round 6 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023, the GATE Round 6 closing rank was 637 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science & Engineering. Further, from comparing with the last two years' closing ranks, the competition has gradually increased for the current year. In the year 2021 & 2022, the last closing rank for M.Tech CSE were 753 & 653, respectively.

NIT Trichy admissions 2024 are based on GATE 2024 ranks followed by CCMT Counselling process. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech must appear for GATE in order to be eligible for further admission process. 

Yes, students who have taken admission to the Amrita School of Engineering Coimbatore M.Tech programme are required to submit project reports. The M.Tech curriculum requires all students to submit a minor and a major project in the seventh and eighth semesters, respectively. The topic of the projects must be relevant to the chosen specialisation.
