VJTI Mumbai tuition fee ranges between INR 18,000 – INR 2.3 L for various courses. This fee is exclusive of other components, such as examination fee, application fee, etc. Therefore, VJTI Mumbai is not very costly, in comparison to other engineering institutes. 

The rules of refund of fees after cancellation of Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering admission by students are given below-

• The students can apply online (State CET Cell site) for cancellation of admission & then submit duly signed copy of the system generated application for cancellation of admission to the college.
• Once the student submits the request for online admission cancellation, his/her admission will be treated as cancelled. 
• Upon such cancellation, the students can loose the claim on
  the seat & then become entitled to the  entire fees refund of INR 1,000 towards processing charges or as per the refund rule / guidelines of the appropriate authorities or the state government. 

Yes, it is difficult to get admission at K J Somaiya School of Engineering. The school accepts admission is based on merit and etrance exams. The college accepts several entrance exams, such as JEE Main,  MHT CET, CUET,  PERA CET, and SAT, for BTech admissions. The M.Tech admissions are based on several eligibility criteria and GATE/ PERA CET/ CUET scores.
