
GUJCET 2026: The exam body, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB), conducts the GUJCET exam in March of every year. In the previous year, 2025, approximately 1.2 lakh candidates appeared in the GUJCET 2026 exam, which was held across various cities in Gujarat. The GSEB conducts the GUJCET exam in offline mode, as a pen-and-paper test, across various cities in the state. For all candidates submitting the online application form, the GUJCET Admit Card 2026 will be issued. As of now, the GUJCET 2026 Exam Date is not out yet.
The GUJCET Previous Year Paper will have a total of 120 questions, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the duration of exam will be 3 hours. The total mark of the question paper is 120, with each question carrying 1 mark with a negative marking of 0.25 or every incorrect answer. What is GUJCET?
Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is the entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to B.Tech and B.Pharma programs offered by various colleges in Gujarat. The exam is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). GUJCET is a state-level entrance examination. The allotment of seats is done based on scores obtained in the examination.
What's new in the GUJCET Exam?
As per the official announcement from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board last year, two new changes were brought in GUJCET. They are as follows:
- Marks in subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12 will also be considered for preparing the GUJCET merit list.
- Out of the total seats in government colleges, 5 percent of seats will be filled through JEE Main 2026 score while the remaining 95 percent of seats will be filled through GUJCET 2026

As the GUJCET is just an entrance exam, there are no scholarships here. However, if you get shortlisted for a college, you might enquire for scholarships of that particular college.
GSEB has not announced the GUJCET exam date. Based in past year events, we can expect the exam to be conducted in March 2026.
Being an entrance exam there are no course fees for the same. However, after you get admission into the college you will have to pay the college fees which will depend upon the college and GUJCET doesn't have any say in that.

GUJCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must check the GUJCET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The application form of the candidate not fulfill the eligibility criteria will be rejected. The various conditions of eligibility for GUJCET 2026, as per the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, are
- The candidate must be an Indian and should have a Gujarat domicile.
- The candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates applying
- The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject for pharmacy.
- The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subject for Engineering.
- Candidates should have scored 45% (40% for the reserved category) in Class 12.

The GUJCET application form 2026 is released in online mode at gujcet.net. Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will have to fill out the GUJCET 2026 application form by the last date.
The application process of GUJCET 2026 includes registration, filling out the form, uploading scanned images, and payment of application fees. Candidates have to first register and then they can fill the GUJCET form 2026. Subsequently, upload the required documents which includes scanned image of photo and signature and, pay the requisite fee online. Candidates who register within the specified dates will be issued GUJCET 2024 admit cards to appear in the exam. The step-by-step guide to fill GUJCET application form 2026 are:
- Registration: The candidates must register by entering their Email ID and mobile Number. Candidates also need to create a password of their choice which they have to use for future login
- Pay Application Fees: After registration, candidates need to pay the GUJCET application fees. The fee has to be paid online using a credit/debit card or internet banking.
- Filling the Application Form: Candidates can login using their Email ID or Mobile Number and the password created to open the application form. The following steps should be followed to complete the application process.
- Complete the online fee payment.
- Fill and save the application form:
