AFCAT Notification 2026
AFCAT notification is released to select male and female candidates as commissioned officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. AFCAT Application form
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are required to fill the AFCAT application form. The application fee can be paid online. The application fee is INR 250 for all categories. The steps to fill the application form are given below:

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2026
All registered candidates are required to appear for the online test AFCAT. It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). AFCAT exam pattern is such that it comprises four sections, General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. The duration of the test is two hours. The test comprises 100 questions and carries 300 marks. The EKT exam is conducted for 45 minutes. The test carries questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. The test paper carries 50 questions. The maximum marks allotted to the EKT are 150. The marking scheme of AFCAT is given below:
- Candidates score three marks for correct answers
- One mark is deducted for every incorrect answer
- No marks are allotted to unattempted questions
