Bihar STET Syllabus 2024: The Bihar STET exam is conducted online in the computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 (Secondary Level Teachers) and Paper 2 (Higher Secondary Level Teachers). The Bihar STET 2024 syllabus differs for both papers. The Bihar STET syllabus and level of questions differ for Papers 1 and 2. The Bihar STET Paper 1 syllabus 2024 is that of the Graduation level. On the other hand, the Bihar STET Paper 2 syllabus 2024 is that of the Graduation (Hons) level.

Q:   What is the syllabus of the Bihar STET Exam?

A:

The Bihar STET exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Bihar STET syllabus and subjects differs for both papers. Have a look at the Bihar STET syllabus for Paper 1 below:

  • Language- English/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Sanskrit: The questions will be asked from the topics studied at Graduation and Higher Secondary levels. Basic language skills, such as reading, writing and verbal ability will be tested.
  • Maths: The questions in this subject will be asked on the topics of Graduation level.
  • Science: Various topics from Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to Class 12. Questions will be asked about all the topics to ensure that candidates know all disciplines.
  • Social science: The questions in Social Science will be asked from the subject

The Bihar STET subjects are different for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Bihar STET Paper 1 subjects are - Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, Maithili, Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts and Nritya. The Bihar STET Paper 2 subjects are- Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, Bangla, Maithili, Magahi, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri, Pali, Prakrit, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Home Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Agriculture, Music and Botany. The common subject for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is Pedagogy and Other Skills.

 

Q:   How many sections are there in Bihar STET Paper 2?

A:

Bihar STET Paper 2 contains two sections - Subject related paper and teaching ability and other knowledge (GK, Reasoning). The candidates have to prepare for the Bihar STET paper 2 exam thoroughly to qualify for the exam with high scores. The candidates are advised to go through the sections and analyse it to find out the easy and difficult points in the sections. After sorting the sections weak and difficult areas, the candidates have to divide the section topics in the time table accordingly to prepare for the exam.

Q:   How many questions are asked in Bihar STET exam?

A:

A total of 150 objective-type questions are asked in Bihar STET exam in each paper. All the questions are compulsary for the candidates and no either options will be given for any question. Each questions carries one marks for each correct answer. On the other hand, no marks will be deducted for the incorrect answers as the exam does not follow negative marking scheme. The candidates have to work for the accuracy and speed to qualify for the exam.

 

Q:   What is the duration of Bihar STET exam?

A:

Bihar STET exam is of 150 minutes (two and a half hours) duration. The candidates have to take the complete exam at the exam centres and under no circumstances candidates can leave the exam centre on their own will. The invigilator is responsible for the exam centre and without their permission no one will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam is over. However, the invigilator can allow the candidates to leave the centre in between the exam in special circumstances. 

 

Q:   Is Bihar STET conducted online or offline?

A:

Bihar STET exam is conducted online in computer-based test (CBT) mode. In the exam, candidates need to mark their answers on the allotted computer screens. Candidates need to complete the exam in a duration of two hours and thirty minutes. The Bihar STET exam is organised to determine the eligibility of candidates as Secondary and Higher Secondary level teachers in Bihar schools.

Q:   Is there negative marking in Bihar STET?

A:

No, there is no negative marking in the Bihar STET exam. Candidates are awarded zero marks for an incorrect answer in the Bihar STET examination. There are total 150 questions in Bihar STET Paper 1 and Paper 2 each. In the exam, one mark is given for each correct answer and 0 for the incorrect answer. There is no negative marking in the exam for any incorrect answer or unattempted question in the BSEB STET exam.

The Bihar STET exam carries a total of 150 marks for Paper 1 and Paper 2 each. In the Bihar STET exam, a total of 150 questions are asked in each paper.
