AFCAT Salary 2023
The stipend offered to men and women cadets during the entire duration of training at any of the Air Force Training Institutions is INR 56,100 per month (Starting pay in Level 10). On successful completion of the training, the AFCAT salary of candidates in the pay matrix of Commissioned Officers will be fixed in the first cell of Level 10. Candidates during training are offered stipend of INR 14,600 per month. On completion of training, Indian Air Force salary offered to candidates is as follows:
Indian Air Force Group X Salary (Technical) Trades: INR 33,100 per month (Pay matrix-3 (INR 21,700 to 57,500).
Indian Air Force Group Y Salary (Non-Technical) Trades: INR 26, 900 per month

Air Force Salary: Allowances and Perks
The allowances and perks offered to candidates are given below:
Military Service Pay: MSP is considered after determining Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, and pensions.
Dearness Allowance
Transport Allowance: Flying officers are also eligible for a location-based transportation allowance, or TA. Flying Officers assigned to metropolises receive a monthly Transport Allowance of INR 3,200 and DA. While those posted to smaller cities and towns receive INR 1,600 and DA.
House Rent Allowance: In Class X cities, the Flying Officer HRA equals 30 per cent of the combined Band Pay, Grade Pay, and NPA. Flying Officers in Class Y and Z cities receive 20 per cent and 10 per cent of their Band Pay, Grade Pay, and NPA as HRA.
Candidates newly commissioned in the Flying Branches are eligible for Flying Allowance which is INR 11,250 per month and Technical Allowance of INR 2500 per month.
