RBI Assistant 2025: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon release the RBI Assistant 2025 notification. The examination authority will release RBI Assistant notification PDF to select candidates for the posts of Assistants in RBI. Q:   Can a 12th pass apply for RBI Assistant?
A: 

Candidates cannot apply for RBI Assistant exam after completing Class 12. To be eligible for the exam, candidates need to be a graduate. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline. The age of candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions inorder to be eligible for the exam.

Q:   Which are the different zones under which candidates are posted after clearing RBI Assistant exam?

RBI Assistant handwritten declaration is a text that candidates need to write while filling the application form. By writing the handwritten declaration, candidates declare that the details entered in the application form are correct and valid. RBI Assistant handwritten declaration should be written on white paper with black ink and in English. The text for RBI Assistant handwritten declaration is given below:

To be eligible for the exam, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, and nationality. Candidates can check below RBI Assistant eligibility criteria.

Nationality

Candidates must be a citizen of India or,
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

The age of candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

RBI Assistant admit card is released online separately for the preliminary exam and mains exam. Candidates can download the RBI Assistant admit card for each stage online by logging with their registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. Appearing in the Exam

All registered candidates need to first appear in the preliminary exam. The test comprises a total of 100 questions and the total marks of the exam are 100. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. RBI Assistant mains exam comprises a total of five sections, Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200 marks. Those qualifying the mains exam are called for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). LPT is conducted to test whether candidates can read, write, or speak the Local Language of the state/UT. What is RBI Assistant Biometric Verification?

Candidates appearing for the online mains exam are required to provide biometric data. The biometric data is captured at the time of entry into the examination hall and stored in the repository as registered data. Subsequently, at the time of exit from the examination hall, biometric data is captured and verified with the registered biometric data captured at the time of entry. Biometric verification will also be conducted at the time of document verification and may also be carried out at any stage. In the event of mismatched verification of biometric data, the candidature of the candidate will be treated as cancelled and they will not be considered for the selection process. The biometric impression is captured through the left thumb impression.

RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test

Candidates qualifying the mains exam are required to undergo the language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test is conducted in the official/local language of the state candidates who have applied. Candidates not proficient in the Official / Local Language are disqualified from the selection process. Therefore, candidates should be able to speak and write the language of the state they have appeared for.

RBI Assistant Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of RBI Assistant is given below:

  • For every correct answer, candidates score one mark
  • There are also RBI Assistant negative marking for incorrect answers, 0.25 marks are deducted
  • There is no weightage for LPT. Candidates must be able to speak, write and understand the local language of the state they have applied for. Candidates need to qualify the LPT or else they are not considered for the recruitment exam

The final selection of candidates for RBI Assistant is done based on the marks of the Mains exam provided they qualify Language Proficiency Test (LPT), medical fitness test, document verification, and biometric data. The final selection of candidates is done based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam. The marks of the prelims exam are not counted for the merit list. Candidates should also qualify the language proficiency test.
Q:   What after RBI Assistant result?
A: 

The RBI Assistant exam is conducted in three phases, including prelims and mains, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Hence, the exam conducting body releases results separately for each stage. Candidates who qualify for the prelims stage will be eligible to appear for the Mains stage. Lastly, candidates who qualify for both stages will appear for the LPT. RBI Assistant results consist of students' roll numbers who have qualified for the examination. After the declaration of the result, RBI also releases scorecards within 15 days. Furthermore, RBI Assistant cut-off scores are also released. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are counted for the final merit list. The final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the Mains exam followed by LPT.

RBI Assistant Mains cut off is calculated out of 200 marks. TheMainsexam is divided into five sections-Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. There are a total of 200 questions and the total marks of the test are 200. The duration of the test is 135 minutes. RBI AssistantMainscut off is considered for final selection. Candidates qualifying theMainsexam are called for local language test. The cut off of theMainsexam is calculated based on the various factors such as difficult level of the exam, total marks, level of competition, etc.

The basic pay of RBI Assistant is INR 20,700 per month. The pay scale is INR 20,700 1200 (3)-24,300-1440 (4)-30,060-1920 (6)-41,580-2080 (2)-45,740-2370 (3) – 52,850-2850-55,700 (20 years).
