RBI Assistant 2025: Notification, Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Age Limit & Syllabus

Selected candidates will be initially posted in the Bank's office within the Recruitment Zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred, in administrative exigencies to centers grouped and classified into East, West, North, South Zone offices as under:

No, there is no required bond period after being chosen as an RBI Assistant. The photograph and signature should be uploaded in RBI application form as per the format prescribed by the examination authority. The prescribed size of the photograph and signature has been given below for the candidates: a) Photograph resolution: 200 x 230 pixels b) Size of file for photograph should be between 20KB-50KB c) Signature resolution: 140 x 60 pixels d) Size of file for signature should be between 10KB - 20KB.

Candidates should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state or any of the states they are applying from

RBI Assistant admit card is released one week before the exam. The link to download the admit card is provided on the official website. However, we will provide the direct link to download the admit card on this page. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter registration number or roll number, date of birth or passwiord. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The admit card is an important document without which candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam.

At times due to the heavy load at the server, the official website becomes slow for which candidates find difficulty in accessing the RBI Assistant admit card page. Therefore, candidates should re-login to download the RBI Assistant admit card within an interval of 5 minutes. Candidates are advised to download the admit card at night. RBI Assistant exam is conducted in CBT online mode by the Reserve Bank of India. The candidates must prepare for the exam in the CBT mode. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. Candidates need to answer 100 questions within 60 minutes. RBI Assistant mains exam comprises five sections-Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. There are a total of 200 questions and the total marks of the test are 200. Candidates need to complete the paper within 135 minutes.

RBI Assistant Mains exam pattern is divided into five sections: Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Computer Knowledge. Candidates who are not proficient in the local language are disqualified. RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test assesses a candidate's proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the official language of the state for which they are applying. RBI Assistant Local Language Test is conducted in the official language of the state and comprises two components-written and spoken. The written component evaluates a candidate's knowledge of the grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. While, the spoken component evaluates their fluency and pronunciation of the local language test.

RBI Assistant syllabus for Mains exam comprises Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language and Computer Knowledge. Candidates should begin their preparations for the Mains exam before the announcement of the prelims exam. The total marks allotted to the mains exam are 200. Each section of RBI Assistant mains exam carries 40 marks.

The final selection of candidates for RBI Assistant is done based on the marks of the Mains exam provided they qualify Language Proficiency Test (LPT), medical fitness test, document verification, and biometric data. The final selection of candidates is done based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam. The marks of the prelims exam are not counted for the merit list. Candidates should also qualify the language proficiency test.

The RBI Assistant exam is conducted in three phases, including prelims and mains, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Hence, the exam conducting body releases results separately for each stage. Candidates who qualify for the prelims stage will be eligible to appear for the Mains stage. Lastly, candidates who qualify for both stages will appear for the LPT. RBI Assistant results consist of students' roll numbers who have qualified for the examination. There is no prior experience required for the candidate to apply for the RBI Assistant recruitment. Candidates who have completed their graduation can apply for RBI Assistant exam. The percentage required in graduation inorder to apply for RBI Assistant exam is 50 per cent. The age limit prescribed for RBI Assistant exam is 20 and 28 years. Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, the initial monthly gross emolument for Assistants is approximately INR 45,050. The house allowance of 15 percent of pay is paid to employees.

The result of RBI Assistant is announced separately for prelims and Mains exams in PDF form. The result displays the roll numbers of qualifying candidates. The scorecard is released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging with the required credentials. The examination authority does not send any intimation regarding the declaration of the result. The hard copy of the result is not sent to candidates by post.
