RBI Grade B is considered to be a challenging exam and it tests candidates knowledge of economic, finance, and management. The exam is conducted in three phases-Phase 1, 2 and Interview. The Paper 1 exam is held for 200 marks while Phase 3 carries 300 marks. The interview carries 75 marks. The job profile of RBI Grade B is given below: Conducting research and analysis: You may be responsible for conducting research and analysis related to economic, financial and banking issues. This may include tracking macroeconomic indicators, studying financial markets, analyzing monetary policies, and identifying trends and patterns in the banking sector. Formulating and implementing policies: You may be involved in formulating and implementing policies related to monetary policy, financial stability, and banking regulations. You will work with other departments in the RBI government agencies and other stakeholders to identify and address issues related to the Indian economy and financial system. Supervising banks and financial institutions: You may be responsible for supervising banks and other financial institutions to ensure they are compliant with RBI regulations and policies. This involves regular inspections and audits of banks, assessing their risk management practices, and ensuring they are meeting capital adequacy requirements. Communication and public relations: You may be involved in communicating RBI policies, decisions and reports to the public, media and other stakeholders. This involves writing reports, making presentations, conducting press conferences, and responding to inquiries and feedback from the public. Yes, the interview is conducted for all the posts. Candidates for the interview are selected based on their marks in Phase-II, Paper-II, and Paper-III marks. Candidates selected for the interview are also required to appear for the Psychometric Test. The marks obtained in the Psychometric Test will not be considered for final selection. Candidates can appear for Interview either in Hindi or English. The interview carries 75 marks. The marks obtained in interview are calculated for the final merit list. During interview, candidates are judged on the basis of their knowledge and personality. Questions in interview are asked from various topics such as current affairs, banking related topics, etc.

RBI Grade B cutoff and scorecard are released within a fortnight after the declaration of the result. The section-wise and overall cut offs of RBI Grade B are made available in PDF form the different categories. The cutoffs are calculated after normalising the marks of candidates. Based on the cut off marks, candidates are selected for the subsequent rounds of selection process.

RBI Grade B exam is conducted online only for General post. The Paper 1 of RBI Grade B exam is conducted online and carries questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The Phase 2 of RBI Grade B exam is conducted online. In Paper 1 of Phase 2 exam, candidates need to answer the questions in the descriptive paper with the help of the keyboard.
