• Candidates belonging to the OBC category but falling under the Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General
• Reservations for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) in recruitment are governed by Office Memorandum No.36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India
• Out of the total vacancies, some are reserved for the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category
• PwBD candidates may belong to any category (ie General/SC/ST/OBC/EWSs)
•  PwBD candidates should possess the latest disability certificate issued by a competent authority
• Backlog vacancies reserved for PwBD are filled by a person with benchmark disability in the respective category

RBI Grade B salary is INR 55,200 per month. The pay scale is INR 55,200-2850 (9)-80,850-EB-2850 (2)-86,550-3300 (4)-99,750 (16 years). Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, and Grade Allowance. Initial monthly gross emoluments are INR 1,08,404 (approximately).. .

Note:

• For candidates having high academic educational qualifications, RBI at its own discretion considers granting up to four advance increments
• The bank, at its own discretion, shall consider requests for higher emoluments because of higher qualification/special experience at the interview stage only
• The number of increments will be a maximum of four
• RBI will not entertain any request received after the interview

Candidates should be aged 21 and 30 years. The qualification for RBI Grade B exam is Graduation.The application forms are accepted if candidates meet the eligibility set by the examination authority.

The job profile of an RBI Grade B Officer includes managing and regulating the country's monetary policy. Candidates are They may be promoted to higher positions within the RBI to the position of Deputy Governor or Governor. 

RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three phases I, II, & III. Phase I is based on General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. In Phase 2, there are three papers: Economic and Social Issues, English, and Finance & Management. The final selection of the candidates is based on an interview. Phases I and II carriers 200 and 300 marks, respectively. The interview carries 75 marks. The duration for Phase 1 is 120 minutes. Phase 2 has a different time duration: Paper I & III are conducted for 120 minutes, and Paper III for 90 minutes.
