SBI Clerk exam is conducted by the State Bank of India every year to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). The selection process of SBI Clerk comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and language proficiency test. The final selection of candidates is done based on marks obtained in the Mains exam. Candidates need to qualify the language proficiency test. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk comprises three sections- English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for final selection. SBI Clerk Selection Process
The selection process consists of online tests (preliminary and mains exam) and tests of specified opted local language. On the basis of the preliminary exam, 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam. According to SBI Clerk selection process, Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, five per cent relaxation is available thereon). The merit list is drawn state-wise and category-wise.
Candidates qualified in the mains exam are placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective states and categories. Those who qualify the mains exam are called for local language tests. Subject to qualifying specified opted local language and based on the marks of the mains exam, candidates will be selected for appointment. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not added for the selection.
