The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) revised answer key was announced by the Kerala Exam Authority, Bangalore (KEA) on March 28, 2024. The candidates could raise objections against the provisional answer key till February 7, 2024 which was released on January 30, 2024.

Candidates appeared for the KSET 2024 exam to get shortlisted for a Lectureship or Assistant Professor post in Karnataka colleges and universities. The KSET dates highlight the important events of the exam such as the release of the KSET application form, issue of admit card, declaration of result, etc. The KSET 2024 exam is held in 11 cities of the state. These test centers are- Bengaluru, Belagavi, Ballari, Vijayapura, Davangere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru. 

Q:   When will the KSET result be released?

A:

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) result will be released by the end of June 2024. The candidates will be able to download the KSET scorecard along with the result. The stesp to download the KSET result are given below:

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the KSET result link 
  • The login page will appear on the screen
  • Fill out the login credentials
  • Enter the captcha code available on the screen 
  • Click onthe submit button
  • The KSET result will appear on the screen 
  • Download the KSET result and save it for later use
 

Q:   When will the KSET final answer key be released?

A:

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) final naswr key will be rleased after the scrutiny of the objections raised by the candidates wo took the exam. The Karnataka Exam Authority (KEA) will release the KSET final answer key along with the result. Earlier, the KSET provisional answer key was released on January 30, 2024 and the objection tracker window was activate till February 7, 2024.

Q:   Is there any subject wise cutoff for KSET?

A:

Yes, the Karnataka Exam Authority (KEA) releases the KSET cut off in PDF format which comprises subject and category-wise for the candidates who have taken the KSET exam. The candidates securing more than equal to cut off marks in their category will be considered qualified for the assistant professorship and PhD.

 

Q:   What is the scope after qualifying KSET exam?

A:

The KSET exam is taken for the candidates who are interested in PhD research and teaching as Assistant professor in colleges and univeristies of India. However, there are other career opportunities other than being Assisatnt Professor or a Research Scholar. The candidates who qualified for the KSET exam can apploy for the PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) such as Indian Oil Corporlation limited (IOCL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Oil and Natural Gas Corportaion (ONGC), etc. 

The candidates who do not want to join any PSU can take up other options like online tutor, open their own coaching centres, guest faculty, consultant, Lab Trainer, IP lead, Author, Editor, Transmission Executive, Program Executive, etc. 

For conclusion we can say that the candidates qualifying for the KSET exam can take up any job they want or start their ow business after clearing one of the most the toughest exams in India.

 

Q:   Is it mandatory to appear for both papers of KSET exam?

A:

Yes, it is mandatory for candidates to appear for both KSET Paper 1 and 2 to qualify for the KSET exam. The candidates have to qualify for both papers separately. Candidates who will qualify for one paper will not be considered as qualified for the KSET exam. Paper 1 consists 50 questions for 100 marks. Paper 2 consists 100 questions for 200 marks. The candidates are advised to study paper 1 as paper 2 or they will not qualify for the KSET exam.
