SBI follows a separate SBI exam pattern for SBI PO, SBI Clerk, and SBI SO. The exam pattern for various posts is explained below:

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk preliminary exam comprises three sections, English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The exam comprises 100 questions and the total marks allotted for the exam are 100. Candidates need to answer the questions within one hour. The mains exam comprises questions from General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The paper consists of 190 questions. The duration of the test is 2 Hours 40 minutes.

SBI PO Exam Pattern

The exam covers three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The paper comprises 100 objective-type questions. The total marks of the test are 100. The duration of the test is one hour, with sectional timings. The mains exam is a mix of objective and descriptive type tests. The objective section carries questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, and English Language. The subjective section comprises questions from English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The exam carries a total of 157 questions and the total marks are 250.

SBI SO Exam Pattern

Law Officer: The exam pattern for the Law Officer will have two sections. The first section comprises Reasoning and English Language while the second section is Professional Knowledge. The total duration of the test is 135 minutes. The exam consists of 170 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total marks for the test are 220.

Systems, CA and Engineering Officers: The question paper of these posts carries questions from Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Professional Knowledge. The test paper comprises 170 questions, and the total marks of the exam are 220. Students will get 135 minutes to complete the paper.

The exam covers three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The exam will be conducted online. The paper comprises 100 objective-type questions. The total marks of the test are 100. The duration of the test is one hour, with sectional timings.

SBI Mains Exam Pattern

The mains exam is a mix of objective and descriptive type tests. The objective section carries questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, and English Language. The subjective section comprises questions from the English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The exam carries a total of 157 questions and the total marks are 250. Candidates should note that their descriptive papers are evaluated only if they score minimum marks in the objective test.

SBI Group Exercises & Interview Pattern

Total marks of the exam are 50, out of which 20 marks are allotted to Group Exercises and 30 marks for Interview.

Preliminary exam

SBI Clerk preliminary exam comprises three sections, English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The exam comprises 100 questions and the total marks allotted for the exam are 100. Candidates need to answer the questions within one hour.

Mains exam

The mains exam comprises questions from General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The paper consists of 190 questions. The duration of the test is 2 Hours 40 minutes.

Test of Specified Opted Local Language

The provisionally selected candidates who did not study the specified opted local language in Class 10 and 12 are required to appear for this stage. Candidates who fail to qualify for this test will not be selected for an appointment.

Q:   How many minimum marks are required to crack SBI SO exam?
