SBI Recruitment 2025: Exam Dates, Eligibility, Application Process, Pattern & FAQs

SBI PO 2025 notification was released on June 24, 2025. The notification was released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam. Candidates must read the notification carefully before applying. SBI PO notification is released to fill vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers. Lakhs of candidates every year apply for SBI PO exam. The selection process of SBI PO comprises prelims exam, mains exam, psychometric test, interview and group exercises. The prelims exam of SBI PO is qualifying in nature.

In the event of candidates not being able to fill the SBI PO application form data in one go, they can save the data already entered by using the 'Save' button. Candidates need to login with their required credentials to complete the application process. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking. The text for SBI PO handwritten declaration is given below: I________ (Name of the candidate), _______ (Date of Birth) hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left-hand thumb impression is of mine. The steps to upload SBI PO handwritten declaration are given below:

There is a negative marking in the SBI Clerk exam. 1/4th mark assigned to a particular question is deducted as a penalty for wrong answers. For correct answers in the exam, candidates score one mark. The total marks of candidates are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. The corrected scores obtained by each candidate in different sessions of the exam are normalised using the equi-percentile method. Scores upto two decimal points are taken for the purpose of calculations. The marks of candidates are calculated as per marking scheme. Candidates should attempt maximum number of questions to secure the desired score in the exam.

The number of papers in SBI exam are different for different posts. SBI Clerk prelims exam carries three papers and total marks allotted to the test are 100. SBI Clerk mains exam carries four papers and carries a total of 200 marks. SBI PO prelims exam carries three papers. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. SBI PO mains exam carries both objective and descriptive tests. The total marks allotted to the test are 250.

On joining, the selected candidates will be designated as Probationary Officers and may be on probation for two years. They will be subjected to continuous assessment, as per Bank’s extant policy, during the probation period. Those candidates who qualify in the assessment as per standards determined by the Bank from time to time, will be confirmed in the Service of the Bank in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I).

The duration of SBI exam is different for different stages of selection. The duration of the prelims exam is one hour for SBI PO and Clerk exam. The duration of the mains exam is two hours for SBI Clerk exam and 3 hours 30 minutes for mains exam. There are also sectional timings in SBI exam.
