What is PUTHAT?
The Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test is an entrance exam for hospitality courses. It is held for admission into Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management programs. This test is your way to get a seat at the University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management. PUTHAT is done in the normal pen-and-paper format.

PUTHAT 2026 Application Form

PUCHD has opened the online application process for PUTHAT 2026 at puthat.puchd.ac.in. Candidates can apply for PUTHAT before the last date of application as per the steps given below:
- Go to the official website and click on 'Online Registration' and a new page will open up with the registration form
- Candidates have to fill details like Name, Father's Name, Mother' Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, SMS Consent, Email, and Category.
- Then, click on submit button, and a login ID and password will be created for user.
- Next, Candidates have to fill the application form with details like academic qualification, personal details, uploading photograph and signature, selecting test cities, and then paying the application fees.
- Once the fee is paid, candidates can submit the application form in online mode only
Candidates must keep a copy of PUTHAT 2026 application form for admission process.
PUTHAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission through PUTHAT 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria as specified by the exam authorities:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognized Board, University, or Institute.
- A minimum of 50% marks is required in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates from SC/ST/PWD/BC categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks, making them eligible with 45% aggregate marks.
- English must have been studied as a compulsory subject.
Important Note:
Candidates who have passed or appeared for the Class 12 examination from Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad, are not eligible for PUTHAT 2026, as this institution is derecognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Additionally, the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, previously listed among recognized boards, has been removed from the recognized examinations booklet.

PUTHAT 2026 Admit Card

The Panjab University, Chandigarh (PUCHD) will release the admit card of PUTHAT 2026 on its official website. The admit cards will be issued to all candidates who have submitted the PUTHAT 2025 application form before the deadline. The admit card is made available only in online mode, and candidates will be able to access their admit cards by entering their roll number and password/ date of birth. The admit card is an important document as it will carry the following details:
- Name of candidate
- Roll number and registration number
- Exam details like exam name, timings and date
- Centre details like name and location
