What is PUTHAT?
Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test commonly known as PUTHAT is a hospitality entrance exam conducted for admissions to the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) courses. The entrance exam is conducted for admission to University Institute of Hotel And Tourism Management. PUTHAT is conducted in a pen and paper based test mode.

PUTHAT 2025 Application Form
PUCHD will close the online application process for PUTHAT 2025 at puthat.puchd.ac.in. Candidates can apply for PUTHAT before the last date of application as per the steps given below:
- Go to the official website and click on 'Online Registration' and a new page will open up with registration form
- Candidates have to fill details like Name, Father's Name, Mother' Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, SMS Consent, Email, and Category.
- Then, click on Submit button, and a login ID and Password will be created for user.
- Next, Candidates have to fill the application form with details like academic qualification, personal details, uploading photograph and signature, selecting test cities, and then paying the application fees.
- Once the fee is paid, candidates can submit the application form in online mode only

PUTHAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admissions to courses offered through PUTHAT 2025 need to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned by the exam authority as under:
- Candidates should have passed Class 10+2 from a recognized Board/University/ Institute.
- They should have secured at least 50 per cent marks in the qualifying examination
- Those belonging to SC/ST/PWD/ BC can claim 5 per cent relaxation in the qualifying marks i.e. they will be considered eligible with 45 per cent marks in aggregate.
- All candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject.
Note: "The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in PUTHAT-2025, as this institution has been derecognised by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The examinations conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, included in the booklet of recognised exams, have also been deleted from the Booklet."
PUTHAT 2025 Admit Card
The exam authority will release admit card of PUTHAT 2025 at least fifteen days before the exam. The admit cards will be issued to all candidates who will completely fill and submit PUTHAT 2025 application form before the deadline. The admit card will be available only in online mode, and candidates will be able to access their admit cards by entering roll number and password/ date of birth. The admit card is an important document as it will carry following details:
- Name of candidate
- Roll number and registration number
- Exam details like exam name, timings and date
- Centre details like name and location
- Exam day instructions to be followed by candidates at the test centres.
Candidates have to download the admit card and get it printed out to carry on the exam day. They should follow all the instructions printed on it to avoid cancellation of their candidature.

PUTHAT 2025 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of PUTHAT is shared by the exam authority along with the exam notification. Candidates can refer to the exam pattern to understand the key details including test paper structure, marking scheme, subjects and syllabus. Some of the details related to the question paper of PUTHAT are as under:
- Exam duration: The exam is of 90 minutes duration
- Total marks in the paper: The total marks in the exam is 100
- Language of the question paper: The question paper is made available in English, Hindi and Punjabi languages (except for the portion “proficiency in English Language”)
- Mode of the exam: The exam is held in offline mode that is OMR-based
- Total sections in the exam: There are a total of 4 sections in the paper
- Marks per question: Each question carries 1 mark
- Total number of questions: There are a total of 100 questions in the paper
- Negative marking: For any wrong attempt, ¼ marks is deducted
- Type of questions: All questions in the exam are of MCQ types

PUTHAT 2025 Answer Key
The Panjab University will release the answer keys and question paper for PUTHAT 2025 soon after the exam. Candidates who appear for PUTHAT 2025 will be able to download the answer key to verify their responses marked in the exam. The exam authority will also upload PUTHAT 2025 question paper along with the provisional answer keys. Candidates will be able to send objections on PUTHAT 2025 answer keys via email on arcet@pu.ac.in.
After receiving objections, the exam authority will verify all the discrepancies mentioned in the answer key and question paper. Thereafter, it will be releasing a revised answer key for PUTHAT 2025 with following possibilities:
- Removal of incorrect questions/ options
- Revising the options
- Allotting marks to candidates who have attempted questions where discrepancies were found.
PUTHAT 2025 Result
The results of PUTHAT 2025 will be declared few days after the exam. Candidates will be able to check their scores by entering login details on the result login window only. Candidates who will qualify PUTHAT 2025 as per the minimum qualifying marks will be ranked in the merit list. The minimum qualifying marks for PUTHAT 2025 is as under:
