About NIELIT 2026
NIELIT offers computer training and conducts exams at various levels, O, A, B and C. The NIELIT O Level, A Level, B Level, and C Level exams are equivalent to diploma, advanced diploma, MCA, and M.Tech levels, respectively.

- Select certificate type: Regular or Modular
- Pick Course Module
- Enter your registration number and DOB
- Enter your registered mobile number to receive a verification code
- After the code is verified, your certificate will appear

You can find your assigned NIELIT exam centre on your NIELIT admit card. The NIELIT centre allotment is done basis the candidate's preference.
The O Level course is the fundamental one and is equivalent to a 1-year diploma in computer applications. After the O-Level, candidates can progress to higher levels, such as A, B, and C levels.
NIELIT exams are conducted twice a year, in January and July. Candidates must register online, complete their coursework, and take the exam.

NIELIT 2026 Eligibility
Eligibility for each exam level is different.
Institutes must submit the list of candidates once it is withdrawn or closed. In these cases, the candidate's name should be on the list provided by the institute, which will then allow them to sit in the exam.
The theory papers for the January 2026 cycle are scheduled to begin on January 10, 2026.
- A/B/C Levels: January 10 - 14, 2026
- O Level (A1–A4 R5) & CHMT-O Level: January 10 - 18, 2026
- O/A/B/C Levels: Practical examinations are scheduled to commence on February 7, 2026.
- CHMT-O Level: Both the practical and the Employability Skills (ES) exams are expected to take place during the last week of January 2026.

NIELIT 2026 Admit Card
Usually, the release of the NIELIT admit cards is about two weeks prior to the date of the examination. Candidates can download it from the official portal using their login ID. An admit card is a document that mentions the date, centre, and roll number of the examination along with some other necessary information. Therefore, candidates must bring a printed copy of the admit card in addition to a valid photo ID on the day of the examination.
NIELIT 2026 Results
NIELIT Results are generally declared 6–8 weeks after the exam.
- For the January session, results may be out by March/April 2026.
- For the July session, results are expected by September/October 2026.
- Candidates can check their results on the official portal using their roll number.
- The result includes subject-wise marks, practical/project marks, and overall status (Pass/Fail).
NIELIT 2026 Counselling
NIELIT certifications are professional qualifications. There is no central counselling process like engineering or medical exams.
However, successful candidates can:
- Apply for government jobs where a computer diploma/certification is mandatory.
