IIM Udaipur Admission Policy 2018-2020: Maximum weight allotted to CAT 2017

The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM Udaipur) has announced its admission policy for 2018-2020 Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch.

This year, the weightage assigned to CAT exam, held on November 26, 2017, is more than 50%. Although, this year weight of CAT 2017 has dropped by 2% from last year, it still holds the biggest share in the admission pie at 53%.

The CAT cut-off score for WAT/GD-PI rounds has also dropped 10 percentile from last year. CAT 2017 test takers who shall have scored 80 percentile and above will be eligible for WAT/PI round. There’s a major relief for SC/ST candidates who need and overall of 40-60 percentile to get selected for WAT/GD-PI rounds.

IIM Udaipur notifies that the cut-off may be lowered incase the number of short-listed candidates are found less.

In case any of the older IIMs (Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow) are willing to share their WAT/PI score with the 11 new IIMs (IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Jammu, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur), the candidates who have applied to new IIMs, need not to appear for WAT & PI process separately.

The WAT/PI process of 11 new IIMs will be coordinated by IIM Rohtak, this year.

Initial selection is based on three criteria: CAT 2017 Score, WAT/PI performance and Candidate’s profile.

Arts/Humanities: Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Languages, Liberal arts, Law, Library and Information Science, Mass Communication and Journalism, Music, Philosophy, Performing Arts (Dance/Drama/Theatre), Literature, Physical Education, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Social Work, Statistics, etc.

Commerce: Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Chartered Accountancy, Costs & Works Accountancy, etc

Science Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Zoology, etc.

Others: Medicine, Pharmacy, and Management, etc.
