Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counselling: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the Karnataka PGCET first round seat allotment results. Candidates can check the allotment results by providing their PGCET number on the dedicated portal. Along with the seat allotment results, KEA has also released the Karnataka PGCET cutoff ranks. Candidates who have been allotted a seat can exercise options until 11:59 PM on January 30.

Initially, KEA releases a mock allotment result for candidates to know how the centralised seat allotment process works. Post the mock allotment result declaration, candidates are allowed to edit/modify the options. Further, candidates can exercise choices after the release of the allotment results. Karnataka PGCET Counselling Process 2022

The counselling process of Karnataka PGCET 2022 includes the following stages -

Karnataka PGCET Counselling Registration

Candidates assigned a rank in the exam have to report to the nearest helpline centres for registration and document verification. There are a total of 10 helpline centres. Candidates are required to register for counselling with their PGCET number. In this process, candidates were briefed regarding the process of exercising options, allotment of seats, payment of fees and reporting to colleges.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counselling: Physical Document Verification

Document verification for candidates who have registered for the counselling was held at the helpline centres. Candidates need to get their original documents verified to be eligible for option entry and seat allotment process. Document verification is done at once for all the disciplines. Candidates, after document verification, are only considered for option entry. Candidates need to be present in person for document verification. Candidates must carry all the original documents and their photocopies during document verification. Candidates should confirm their rank ranges, date and time of verification before coming to the helpline centres. After registration, candidates should proceed for document verification. Candidates will be given an acknowledgement card and a verification slip.

Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2022: Generating Secret Key

After verification of documents, candidates are given a secret key which they are required to register and a password as per their choice for login at the online option entry portal. With this secret key, candidates can log in, enter options, change options, save and delete options and print allotment details.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counsellig Process: Display of Seat Matrix

KEA receives the seat matrix before the commencement of the first round of seat allotment. Option entry will start after the publishing of the seat matrix. The details of the college wise, course wise and category wise seats available for allotment are published on the official website. The allotment of seats is done as per the seat matrix.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Option Entry

Candidates who have completed their verification are eligible to appear in the option entry process. Candidates need to enter the course or college of their choice from among the available seats. Candidates should enter the options for all disciplines at once. There is no limit to the entry of options. The options recorded in the server on the last day will be frozen. Only the frozen options are considered for the allotment of seats. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the options entered by them.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Mock Allotment Result 

KEA publishes the mock allotment status before the actual commencement of the first round of the seat allotment process. Candidates also have the facility to change their options after checking the mock allotment. This process is followed to familiarise candidates with the course and college allotted to them based on their ranks

Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment 2022

The seat matrix and options entered by candidates will be taken into consideration for the seat allotment process. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on merit and the priority of options entered by candidates.

Payment of Admission Fee & Reporting to Allotted College

Candidates satisfied with the seat need to download the challan from the KEA website and pay the fees at the specified banks.  After the payment, the bank will return the candidate and college copy. After one hour of making the payment, candidates will be able to download the admission order. Candidates need to report to the college with the college copy of the challan, admission order and original documents within the prescribed dates. Candidates need to log in to option entry and report to KEA that they have joined the college.

Candidates can check the Karnataka PGCET seat allotment results by following the steps mentioned below:

1st Step: Visit the official website of KEA, that is kea.kar.nic.in

2nd Step: Click on the relevant link indicating the Karnataka PGCET seat allotment results

3rd Step: Enter PGCET number

4th Step: Click on the 'Submit' button

Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2022: Downloading Allotment Order

After release of the Karnataka PGCET seat allotrment results, candidates can download the allotment order and pay the admission fee to obtain provisional admission. The space below mentions the process to download the allotment order and pay the admission fee:

  1. Visit the Karnataka PGCET official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/pgcet
  2. Click on the relevant link to download of seat allotment order and payment of fee
  3. Enter PGCET number followed by entering the case-sensitive captcha code
  4. Click on the 'Submit' button to view the allotment order

Candidates can print the seat allotment order from the login dashboard. Additionally, candidates will find a button for payment of the admission fee.

Documents Required for Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counselling

Candidates need to carry original copies of all the relevant documents along with the attested photocopies of the same during the document verification process. The following documents need to be submitted during the document verification process:
