Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling registration date has been extended to October 15, 2025 (11:00 AM). Candidates can register for counselling through the direct link provided below. 

KEA NEET PG Registration 2025 - APPLY NOW (DIRECT LINK)

Candidates who qualify for the NEET PG and NEET MDS  with a minimum 50th percentile are eligible to apply for the KEA NEET PG counselling. Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Candidates who have cleared the NEET PG cutoff and whose names were included in the KEA NEET PG 2025 merit list can participate in the Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling. KEA NEET PG 2025 will have two main rounds and an additional mop-up round. The counselling is being conducted for admission to 50% state quota and 100% private college seats. A merit list will be released on the official website based on registration, NEET PG rank, state domicile, reservation, and other criteria.

Candidates who appeared for the NEET PG for admission to the Karnataka NEET PG participating colleges are advised to participate in the KEA NEET PG counselling process. The NEET PG result 2025 was released on August 19, 2025 at the official website, natboard.edu.in. The KEA NEET PG counselling process has been shared for the participants at the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

The KEA NEET PG 2024 seat matrix was released on the official website on November 19, 2024.

Karnataka PG NEET Counselling - DIRECT LINK (Seat Matrix)

The KEA NEET PG 2024 Round-1 option entry started on November 19 and was open till November 22, 2024. The last date for reporting to the allocated institute for round-1 counselling was December 4, 2024 (5:30 pm closing). With this event, the KEA NEET PG Round-1 concluded on December 4, 2024. The KEA NEET PG round-2 provisional seat allotment list for the MD/MS was released on December 19, 2024. Candidates were required to deposit the original documents and other certificates as per the verification slip on December 12, December 13, December 16, and December 17, 2024. No original documents were accepted on December 11, 2024.

The Karnataka NEET PG seat matrix for each round will be shared before the commnecement of registration of each round. Once the seat matrix releases, then the choice filling and option locking window will open. Candidates would be required to download the Karnataka NEET PG seat matrix for each round from the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/. 

Q:   Is it mandatory to submit original documents for admission via Karnataka NEET PG counselling?
A: 

Yes, it is mandatory to carry the original documents at the time of institute reporting to adhere to the formalities involved in fulfilling Karnataka NEET PG counselling process. Although candidates can carry the photocopies as a backup, but during document verification, original documents will be verified.

Q:   How can I get admission in MD/MS in Karnataka?
A: 

Candidates are required to appear for the NEET-PG entrance exam and obtain the minimum qualifying percentile as prescribed by the regulatory authorities of KEA counselling. After completing the application form, the candidate has to choose the type of domicile (a1, a2 or b) and Pay the application fee online and print the receipt.

Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to apply for the Karnataka PG medical counselling 2025 are advised to go through the eligibility criteria set by the KEA. Merely filling out the KEA counselling application form to participate in Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2025 will not guarantee seat allotment. Eligibility criteria for admission through the counselling of Karnataka NEET PG 2025 are as follows:

General Eligibility Criteria (Applicable to All)

  1. He/she must have qualified for NEET PG 2025
  2. He/she must possess an MBBS degree from an institute recognised by MCI
  3. He/she must have completed his/her compulsory rotatory internship by April 31, 2025. 

Eligibility Criteria for Government Seats

In addition to fulfilling the above conditions, the candidate must have passed MBBS from a recognised institute in Karnataka. Candidates who have completed the MBBS degree from an institute outside Karnataka but have studied in the state for 10 years, including class X or XII, can also apply for the counselling of Karnataka NEET PG counselling.

Candidates who have qualified for NEET PG 2025 and wish to participate in Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2025 need to register themselves on the official website of KEA. The application form for the counselling of Karnataka NEET PG 2025 can be filled out only in an online mode. Applications submitted offline will not be accepted. The application fee for Karnataka PG medical counselling 2025 can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates can pay the fee offline by downloading the bank challan.

What must be retained after completion of the application process?

  • Two copies of the application form (duly filled and submitted)
  • Payment receipt for the application fee
  • Two passport-sized photographs (same as those uploaded with the application form)

KEA NEET PG Counselling 2025: Document Verification

To be considered for seat allotment, the candidate needs to get all the relevant documents verified by the competent authority. For this, he/she needs to upload the relevant documents in a PDF format along with the application form for Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling. If a candidate fails to upload the relevant documents, he/she will not be considered for the seat allotment process. 

Candidates who successfully complete the document verification process for Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling will be issued a ‘Verification Acknowledgement’. Candidates must check the details printed on the acknowledgement. They must inform the officials immediately in case of any discrepancy. The acknowledgement will also contain an alphanumeric unique secret key. All candidates are required to set the password for the registered account on the official website of KEA using this secret key and user ID.

Documents Required

Candidates must keep the documents ready to apply for the KEA NEET PG 2025 counselling: 

  1. Copy of the duly filled application form of Karnataka NEET PG 2025 counselling
  2. Two passport-sized photographs
  3. Valid photo ID proof (PAN card/driving license/voter ID/passport/Aadhar card/ration card)
  4. NEET PG 2025 admit card
  5. NEET PG 2025 scorecard
  6. Class X marksheet
  7. Class XII marksheet
  8. MBBS marksheets
  9. Qualifying degree certificate
  10. Internship completion certificate
  11. Certificate from the head of the institution certifying that the medical college is recognised by MCI
  12. Eligibility Certificate (for candidates who have graduated from an institute other than RGUHS)
  13. Migration Certificate (for candidates who have graduated from an institute other than RGUHS)
  14. Registration Certificate issued by MCI/SMC
  15. Compulsory Government service bond on a stamp paper of INR 100 (Annexure 1)
  16. Undertaking on a stamp paper of INR 200, stating that the candidate will serve under the state government of Karnataka for three years
  17. Undertaking on a stamp paper of INR 20, for completion of the document verification process
  18. Caste/community certificate (if applicable)

How to set the password using the secret key?

  • Go to the official website of KEA
  • Select ‘NEET PG 2025 Option Entry’
  • Enter testing ID and secret key
  • Enter new password; confirm the new password
  • Register a new mobile number and email ID
  • Select the hint question and type an answer
  • Click ‘Login’
  • Note down the password and hint answer for future reference

In KEA NEET PG 2025 counselling, the participants will see that each college will have four different categories of seats: government, private, NRI, and others. The fee for each category is different. Candidates must, therefore, fill in the choices carefully. They have to choose the course/college of their choice in order of individual preference.

KEA NEET PG 2025 Seat Allotment

KEA will prepare the seat allotment list based on the seat matrix for the current admission session, the state merit list, and the choices filled by the applicants of Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2023. Candidates who have been allocated a seat in the first/second round of Karnataka PG medical counselling will now have to choose if they want to retain/surrender the allocated seat. He/she has to log in to the registered account on the official website and choose from among the following four options:

Choice 1: The candidate is satisfied with the allocated seat and is willing to report to the allotted college. He/she is not interested in further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any discipline.

Choice 2: The candidate is satisfied with the allocated seat but wishes to participate in the next round (for upgrading).

Choice 3: The candidate is not satisfied with the seat allocated to him/her and would like to surrender it. He/she would, however, like to participate in any further rounds of counselling.

Choice 4: The candidate is not satisfied with the seat allocated to him/her and would like to surrender it. He/she would not like to participate in further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any discipline.

If a candidate opts for choice 1 or 2 but is unable to join the allocated institute, Such candidates have to mandatorily report to the allocated institute. Not reporting to the institute within the assigned duration will be considered as blocking of seat, and will attract a penalty.

Collection of Admission Order

Candidates will have to carry original copies of all the documents that were uploaded during the registration process. After verifying the authenticity of these documents and comparing them to those uploaded online, the institute will issue admission letters to eligible candidates. If the authorities find any discrepancy in these two sets of documents, the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled, and the fees paid by him/her will be forfeited.

There are approximately 100 medical colleges in Karnataka that offer MD/MS admission to approximately 5,267 MBBS seats in Karnataka. KEA NEET PG counselling 2025 is being conducted through the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. There will be three rounds, tentatively, all of which will be conducted by KEA. The stray vacancy round will only be led if seats are left vacant after the mop-up/third round.
