What is JEECUP exam?
The UP Polytechnic exam, commonly referred to as the JEECUP exam is conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, UP. The exam is held annually in online mode for admission to the participating polytechnic institutes of the state. Through JEECUP 2026, candidates can get admission to Technology, Engineering and Pharmacy courses. The exam tests the students' aptitude and knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Eligible candidates must qualify the exam and participate in the counselling for admission.

JEECUP 2026 Answer Key
The correct responses to the question paper are available through the provisional JEECUP answer key. Candidates can use the answer key to calculate their probable scores on the test. The authorities also allow students to raise objections to the JEECUP answer key. For every objection, candidates have to pay Rs 100 through net banking/credit card/debit card. The fee will be refunded only if the objection is accepted by the authorities. After all of the objections are checked, the authorities will release the final JEECUP 2026 answer key.

Separate choice-filling will be available for each round of the JEECUP counselling. The JEECUP 2026 seat allotment result will be announced online. JEECUP 2026 Reservation Criteria
As per the UP Government rules, the candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for a seat. These categories are:
1. Vertical Reservations:
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of General Category - 10%
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
- Scheduled Castes (SC) - 21%
- Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%
2. Horizontal Reservations:
- Persons with Disability (PwD) (minimum 40% disability) - 5%
- Freedom Fighter - 2%
- Ward of Military personnel - 5%
- Female Candidate - 20%
