The Central University of Kashmir is a public university. It is located in Srinagar, Kashmir. The university is also known as CUK Srinagar, and was established in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. It is recognised by the UGC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). CUK is accredited with a “B++” Grade by the NAAC. Currently, the University offers UG, PG and PhD programmes under various streams. These courses are offered under nine constituent schools. It follows a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for the evaluation of all UG and PG programmes.

Central University of Kashmir extends admission depending on merit and accepted entrance exams. The University extends its admissions to the UG and PG level courses depending on either Class 12 or graduation qualification.
