
NExT exam syllabus has been released by National Medical Commission. According to National Exit Test, Regulations 2023, the exam will be held in two steps. Syllabus for NExT Step 1 comprises subjects of III MBBS /Final MBBS, both Part 1 and Part 2. A total of six papers will be held for NExT Step 1. The syllabus includes applied aspects of all subjects covered in whole MBBS course. It must be noted NExT Step 1 will be theory exam while NExT Step 2 will be practical /clinical and Viva Voce exam. Candidates who qualify step 1 NMC NExT and complete one-year mandatory internship will be eligible for NExT step 2. Syllabus for NExT exam includes seven clinical subjects/disciplines. According to latest news on NExT, AIIMS will be the conducting body for the exam. NExT exam date has not been released yet. Application form for NExT mock test was released on June 28. NEET PG 2025 result was announced on August 19,2025.

According to guidelines released by NMC, there will be six papers for NExT Step exam. The exam will be held in two shifts. Candidates can check subjects in each paper with respective number of items and time allotted in the table given below:

NExT Exam Pattern
NExT exam pattern has not been released yet. As per the NExT draft released earlier, step 1 exam will be held in computer-based mode while step 2 NExT exam in offline mode. There will be 540 multiple choice questions in NExT MBBS Step 1 exam. Out of these, 65% will be based on problem solving and analytical skill, 25 % comprehension type and rest 10% will be recall based.

Students must go to the official portal and submit the objection with the help of the TIFR GS Provisional Answer key feedback form. This will allow them to challenge the provisional answer key in case there is an issue. Students must raise objections before the deadline.
