The authority will activate the NEET PG answer key download link online. Students who will be appearing for the NEET PG 2026 exam will be able to download the answer key using their login credentials. How to Raise Objections Against the NEET PG 2026 Answer Key

Students will be able to challenge the NEET PG answer key if there is any error in the key. This is a chargeable process. The payment will be accepted online. Below is the process to raise objections against the NEET PG answer key 2026.

Q:   How can candidate calculate tentative scores in NEET PG exam through answer key?
A: 

Students can use NEET PG answer key released by recognised institutes to predict total marks in exam. To calculate marks, candidates will have to count the total number of correct, incorrect responses and then calculate the score through the marking scheme. It must be noted, candidates get +4 mark for each right answer while for every wrong answer candidates get -1. Substract the total score out of negative marking from the marks out of correct answers. 

 

 

Q:   What is the difference between the provisional and final answer key for NEET PG?
A: 

The basic difference between provisional answer key and the final answer key is its release timing. The provisional answer key is usually released right after exam within 10-15 days. The final answer key is released along with the result. Candidates can raise objection against the provisional answer key while the final one can't be challenged. It must be noted the official answer key for NEET PG is not released by the exam conducting body.

How to Calcuate NEET PG Marks?

To calculate NEET PG marks, students need to be familiar with the marking scheme. According to the NEET PG marking scheme, every question carries 4 marks. Negative marking is done for wrong answers. -1 mark is given for a wrong answer.

NEET PG 2026 Cutoff

NBEMS will release the NEET PG cutoff 2026 online. The cutoff is the minimum marks required to pass the exam. NEET PG qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff are different.  Students whose marks are NEET PG above the qualifying cutoff will be considered for the counselling process. The admission cutoff will be released by MCC after each round of counselling. Those whose NEET PG rank will be within the cutoff rank will be allotted a seat in the participating colleges. Q:   I got 535 marks in NEET PG. Will I get government college?
A: 

500 plus marks is considered a decent score in NEET PG  exam. If a candidate score 535 marks that means his/her rank will be somewhere around 1000-2000. With that score, there is a chance to get admission in government college. Good score also depends on difficulty level of the question paper. If the question paper is difficult then cut off will be low. In 2023-24 session, general category cut off was 291 while the cut off for SC/ST was 257. Overall 500 plus marks will enable you to get admission in good college for PG course.

Q:   Which topics will have more weightage in NEET PG 2026 exam?
A: 

NBE, the exam conducting body may release the weightage of each topics for NEET PG exam. In previous years, the maximum questions were asked from topics such as anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, general medicine, obstetrics, gyanaecology, general medicine etc. More than 50% question were clinical based. According to exam taking students, more than 30 questions were image-based. Candidates are advised to prepare clinical section well so that they can score full marks in the clinical part.

Q:   Is unofficial NEET PG answer key reliable?
A: 

Yes, the unofficial answer key is reliable as it is prepared by an expert panel of coaching institutes. Having said that, the unofficial answer key may not be 100% correct as it is prepared on the basis of memory based questions asked from exam taking candidates. Candidates must note NBE doesn't release the official answer key for the exam. NEET PG answer key helps candidates to predict a tentative score with the help of marking scheme. 

Q:   Does NBE conduct NEET PG in pen and paper mode?
A: 

No. Unlike NEET, NBE conducts NEET PG exam in computer-based mode. NEET PG pattern is declared by NBE along with the official information brochure. NEET PG pattern comprises details regarding mode and medium of exam, total number of questions, allotted time and marking scheme. As per the existing pattern, total 180 multiple choice questions are asked in NEET PG exam and candidates are provided 3.5 hours to answer them. Medium of the question paper is English only. There is no option to choose the language of the question paper. For every right answer, 4 marks is awarded and negative response -1 is deducted.

Yes, the NEET PG exam is tough. The exam is designed to test the knowledge of MBBS graduates in 19 subjects. Moreover, the number of seats are limited.

Yes, NEET PG city intimation slip was released on August 11, 2026. Candidates can check the city intimation slip through login portal. They can know the exam city name through the NEET PG city intimation slip.

Yes, for postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS, colleges accept NEET PG scores. For super-specialty courses, NEET SS is required. MBBS admission, however, is based only on NEET UG.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
