The marking scheme for the IGNOU BEd exam is quite simple. As there is no provision for negative marking, the calculation becomes way easier. Tabulated below is the scheme for the exam:

But, to do so, they must pay a processing fee for each question that has to be challenged. The sum of the amount is refundable on the condition that the challenge is correct.

Objection Raise Process

• Log in to the IGNOU Answer Key 2026 portal.
• Click on the "Challenge Answer Key" link.
• Choose the question and provide a valid explanation or reference for the objection reason.
• Pay the fee for the objection process.

Note: You have to pay 200 Rs for every answer you wish to challenge

• Make sure to submit it before the last date.

What next?

After the release of the provisional answer key, IGNOU will release the response sheet. Within a few days, the result will be declared on the ignou.ac.in. You will get the notification on the contact number and email ID you have provided during registration.

Download the result with your login details. The result is declared as a scorecard. After that, IGNOU will issue the list of the chosen candidates for admission.
