IGNOU BEd Result 2026 (June): Direct Link, Steps, Merit-List, & Cut-off

The next step after the IGNOU BEd Entrance Test will be the announcement of result. Candidates who will appear for the exam will wait for the result.

Candidates can check the IGNOU BEd Result 2026 using their login credentials. To download the IGNOU BEd scorecard, candidates can follow these instructions. 

• Browse to the portal- https://www.ignou.ac.in/.
• Click on the result link
• Enter enrolment ID, programme name, and DOB.
• Click on the Sign In button
• The result will be displayed on the screen.
• Candidates can download the rankcard.

IGNOU BEd Result

After the IGNOU BEd Results declaration, candidates can download the scorecards. The details that will be provided on the IGNOU BEd Entrance Test result card will be mentioned below:

• Name
• Application Number
• Subject Group
• Date and Time of Exam
• Total Score
• Rank Obtained
• Subject-wise Score

Important: Candidates are advised to check all details mentioned in the scorecard carefully and contact the authorities in case of any discrepancy.

The IGNOU BEd Merit List for 2026 isn't out yet. It will be released on the IGNOU website- ignou.ac.in, after the entrance test. Based on merit and entrance scores, the eligible candidates get admission. They need to check the "Results" section for links to the BEd entrance test results or merit list when available, usually after the exam.

How to Find the IGNOU BEd Merit List

• Go to ignou.ac.in.
• Look for the "Results" or "Admissions" section in the drop-down menu.
• Select the link for the "Results of Entrance Test BEd 2026" (or similar title).
• Input your exam roll number and other required information.
• View and download your result/merit list status.

IGNOU BEd Cutoff 2026 isn't fixed; it depends on the entrance exam (IGNOU BEd Entrance Test 2026), with previous trends suggesting scores above 60-70+ generally offer strong chances, though cutoffs vary by category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and seat availability

BEd fees in Indira Gandhi National Open University are INR 55,000. The scholarships are also offered for the candidate's convenience. Here are the details related to the scholarships for IGNOU students.

• If anyone is enrolled in IGNOU, they are eligible for the Government of India Scholarships. They have to visit the National Scholarship Portal of the Government of India, scholarships.gov.in, and submit the online application.
• If the candidate belongs to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories, they may apply for financial assistance under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship.

After the result, a Nodal Regional Centre (RC) wise merit list is prepared by IGNOU. As per the ranks awarded to candidates in the merit list, IGNOU BEd Entrance Test counseling is conducted. In the counseling round, candidates are awarded seats in the BEd program offered at IGNOU based on their rank secured in the exam and category. The counseling is expected to be held at different regional centers situated across various cities. Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counseling session and need to choose their preferred Regional Center during registration. During the counseling, candidates must submit self-attested copies of necessary documents and also carry their original documents for verification. 

In case if there are still remaining seats after the first round allocation, further counseling rounds will be conducted at relevant centers. The documents required for IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam Counselling is mentioned below - 

• High and Sr. Secondary School Certificate / Higher Secondary mark sheet
• Original IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam 2026 admit card
• Post-graduation/graduation degree and mark sheet 
• Professional qualification certificates (diploma/degree)
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Employment certificate in original
• An affidavit by Parents/Student/Guardian
• 2 passport-size photographs
