AIIMS Nursing 2026 Eligibility Criteria

- Only FEMALE candidates can apply for the BSc nursing programme
- The AIIMS BSc nursing 2026 eligibility criteria are likely to remain the same as last year.
- Candidates should have passed or scheduled to appear for the Class 12 Board exam or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English as compulsory subjects
- Candidates with 55% for Gen/OBC (NCL)/EWS, 50% in case of SC/ST categories in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology can apply for admission.
- Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2026. Accordingly, the minimum date of birth of candidates should be December 31, 2009. There is no upper age limit.

The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 application process involves registration at two levels. The registration process is PAAR registration, which is a unique form of applying for the entrance exam. Initially, Basic registration is done, and if the application gets accepted, then the candidate can proceed with the final registration.

No, candidates do not need to follow the AIIMS Nursing question paper chronologically. Candidates can attempt any question or section first according to their own convenience. Overall there will be 70 questions in the paper for which 120 minutes will be allotted to the candidate.
Yes, AIIMS BSc nursing entrance exam has a provision for negative marking. For each incorrect option chosen, -1/3 mark will be deducted. Candidates will be give 120 minutes to attempt the question paper. There will be overall 100 MCQ questions of 1 mark each.
AIIMS nursing is an online exam which is conducted in computer-based mode. The BSc nursing entrance exam will be conducted carrying 100 wuestions of 100 marks (i.e. 1 mark for each question).
