The All India Institute of Medical Science conduct the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam every year to select the candidates for the BSc (Honours) Course in Nursing offered by all AIIMS across the nation. The  AIIMS BSc Nursing exam 2026 was conducted on June 27 to select the candidates for the August Session. The exam is conducted online as a Computer-Based Test(CBT) at the notified exam centres nationwide. All the AIIMS participate in the BSc Nursing exam and the candidates securing a high rank can select the course in the particular college.

Q:   What is the overall difficulty level of AIIMS Nursing exam?

AIIMS Nursing entrance exam is generally of 'Moderate' difficulty level. AIIMS BSc (h) Nursing exam was conducted on June 27, 2026 in online mode. AIIMS Nursing exam is based on syllabus of class 12 and Class 11. difficulty level of questions ranges from easy to moderate. As per student review, mostly direct questions are provided in exam. There are 20% to 30% application based question which are time consuming and analytical in nature. 

Q:   What is the last date to apply for the AIIMS Nursing exam (basic registration)?

Candidates can apply (basic registration) for the AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing, Post-basic B.Sc. Nursing and Paramedical nursing course as per the schedule announced by AIIMS Delhi. AIIMS Delhi released an official notification providing complete details about the last date and exam schedule. The registration timeline has not been released yet. During this window candidates will be able to apply for basic registration and then proceed for final registration if the application form gets accepted. 

Q:   How many sections are there in AIIMS BSc nursing exam?

There are four sections in AIIMS BSc nursing exam named Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. There were100 questions overall for which candidates were provided 120 minutes to solve the paper. It will be an online exam carrying objective-type questions.

AIIMS Nursing Marks Vs Ranks 2025

The AIIMS released the BSc Nursing entrance examination result on June 6, 2025. The exam conducting body will notify the roll number, category, PWBD status, percentage, and overall rank of the candidates in the merit list PDF. Q:   Has the AIIMS Nursing exam pattern changed?
A: 

There is no official intimation about the change in the AIIMS Nursing 2026 exam pattern yet. Until last year, there was no change in the exam pattern. AIIMS New Delhi conducts the national-level entrance exam to facilitate admission into the BSc Nursing and Post Basic BSc Nursing. The eligibility criteria and the pattern of both exams are different.

Q:   Are there subjective-type questions in the AIIMS Nursing exam?
A: 

No, the AIIMS Nursing 2026 question paper had objective-type questions only. It was a computer-based online entrance exam for which 120 minutes (2 Hours) were allotted to solve approximately 70 questions. Overall there were questions from: Physics (30 marks), Chemistry (30 marks), Biology (30 marks), and General knowledge (10 marks).

Q:   Do the AIIMS Nursing 2026 questions need to be answered in any specific order?
A: 

No, candidates do not need to follow the AIIMS Nursing question paper chronologically. Candidates can attempt any question or section first according to their own convenience. Overall there will be 100 questions in the paper for which 120 minutes will be allotted to the candidate. 

Q:   Is there any negative marking in the AIIMS entrance exam?
A: 

Yes, AIIMS BSc nursing entrance exam has a provision for negative marking. For each incorrect option chosen, -1/3 mark will be deducted. Candidates will be give 120 minutes to attempt the question paper. There will be overall 100 MCQ questions of 1 mark each.

AIIMS released the AIIMS BSc Nursing Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2026 on August 10. The candidates were allowed to take admission till August 17.

Yes, nursing graduates from Ahmedabad can apply for AIIMS nursing recruitment. AIIMS conducts its own recruitment exams for nursing officer positions. The basic eligibility is a B.Sc Nursing or GNM degree from a recognised institution and registration with the State Nursing Council.
